Might be the reason he struggled one-on-one at times this season.

Jed had his hip cleaned up. He’s got some specific strength work and conditioning to do around his hip. He’s overseas right now on a 12-month delayed honeymoon, which has been very well-earned.
With the operation that he had, we’ve decided to leave him home from Arizona. We feel that the best approach with Jed was to keep him under our wing and with our physios here at home so that we can be certain that he’s right to go.
BRISBANE Lions vice-captain Jed Adcock is still unable to train after off-season hip surgery but is confident he'll be fit by round one next year.
Adcock had the operation in September and said he expected to return in full training by Christmas.
Apart from skipper Jonathan Brown - whose wife Kylie recently gave birth to their second child - Adcock was the only senior player left in Brisbane for the club's two-week altitude training camp taking place in Arizona.
But despite the setback, Adcock said he would be right to go for round one next year.
"The last couple of weeks have come along really quick so hopefully [I'll be in] full training by Christmas which is only a few weeks away," Adcock said.
In 127 years of combined Club history, made up from Fitzroy, the Brisbane Bears, and Brisbane Lions, only 53 players have had the honour of being named ‘Captain’.
Since the 1997 merger, there have been just eight.
Jed Adcock became the latest member of this esteemed group on Wednesday when he was elevated to the official position of Lions’ Co-Captain for 2013 as part of the Club’s new-look on-field leadership structure.
Adcock will share the role with existing Captain Jonathan Brown, who is about to embark on his seventh season at the helm.

Absolutely. There is also just the right amount of "Junkyard Dog" about Jed, which means that he will be able to lead by example in the area where I really think we need to improve as we move into the next couple of years. The way we scrapped and fought in the last quarter against West Coast when Polks kicked his memorable torp to seal the game needs to become our trademark style and I think Jed Adcock is just the sort of dedicated and honest footballer who can help make this happen, especially with Brownie also at the helm. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that Adcocks appointment is an excellent one. He has the ability to become one of our great Captains in an era when we have been blessed with quality leaders. You'd expect him to be the skipper for at least the 2013, 2014 and 2015 seasons. He's served a long apprenticeship, and has already be a fill in captain plenty of times. He is well prepared.
BRISBANE had the chance to be bold yesterday.
But the Lions took the conservative route and appointed defender Jed Adcock as the club's co-captain alongside superstar Jonathan Brown for this season.
Brown, who was on the selection panel, said Adcock's greater on-field experience got him the nod.
With 141 games since his senior debut in 2004, the 27-year-old's communication skills, toughness and work ethic have won him the respect of the playing group and coaching staff.
Adcock will do a fine job. He is a genuine leader. But he is a safe choice.

That item is all well and good but considering the Snail attempting a smack down on us it reeks of spite.
LIONS co-captain Jed Adcock says his side must rediscover their lost values. Adcock said Brisbane cannot let the expected win against Melbourne at the Gabba on Sunday wallpaper over cracks that have derailed their season.
"A win is a win, no matter who the opposition is," Adcock said. "Melbourne played a great final quarter on the weekend (kicking 12 last-term goals to beat GWS). "We are not looking at opposition any more, we have to look at our own backyard."
Adcock said the senior players must take responsibility, starting with adhering to team principles and structures and extending to taking the right attitude into games and leading by example on the field. "It is up to the senior players," he said. "We were hoping it was a one-off, but really we haven't been in very good form at all. The core group, the senior group, isn't in good form and we are the group that needs to lift."
Two days after the 63-point loss to the Roos, Adcock was still scratching his head at what happened at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Adcock was generally positive about the Lions’ first home win of 2013, but said the focus would now shift on next Sunday’s visit to the SCG.
“Our numbers tell us that we won the areas we focussed on, which is important to us. But there is definitely a lot of room for improvement,” Adcock said.
“We didn't convert all our opportunities in front of goal and also missed a few targets going inside 50, which is something we will work on through the week.”
“We haven't travelled well to Sydney in the past, but it’s a good opportunity for us to put good back-to-back games together.”
