good read, it really sounds like he has done really well to get this far and i would love to have him running around our forward line.

Well thought out post Davo:
- yes I am worse than Pelcs; he is a pro & I enjoy watching TV & the Internet
- if you think my wanting us to sign 'Player X' has any bearing on who we choose then you greatly overrate my influence at HFC
- and, if my influence has caused our high picks to be injured or gave bad attitudes then I apologize...

Incredible story. Good luck to Jedd with whoever he plays footy for. Some parallels with Crawford's story too - mum who works her guts out for her kids.
I thought the exact same thing Grizz.

I like the look of this kid, and while I do think that announcing Hawthorn interest a week out will probably only mean we are looking elsewhere, I'd be very happy if he was in a Brown and Gold polo by the end of the Draft.

Have really enjoyed watching Lambs footy this year... was completely unaware of the trials and tribulations his family have had to endure, really wish him the best- wherever he ends up. :thumbsu:

I have a good feeling about him too. Had the same feeling when we picked up J. Lewis........cant say I have felt the same way about some of the others players I have looked at.

I know davo's post has been removed, but I really believe that a goal kicking, speedy high forward is exactly what we need. We need to inject pace into numerous parts of the ground.

I would be far from dissapointed if Jed Lamb ends up at Hawthorn.
Who are the players you hope we select from with pick 19 Davo?

I'm all for the kid at pick 19. Looks the goods and we need another smart forward crumber. Ozzie isn't getting any younger, Rioli will be needed in the midfield on occasion and Breust, while having a good year for Box Hill, is still unproven at AFL level. With Hoops and Peterson gone, Lamb should fit in just nicely.

Super sad story especially as it's regarding a death of a family member. Infeel for the kid but there's a sad story behind everyone it's just most of the time they don't get told! I remember going back to the 01 draft my team mate and best friend got plucked by the Buldogs at a highish selection, that year his brother died in a car crash and parents seperated, it was horrific! But his story was never told, would have been a good story though as well considering he was also adopted. Anyway I wish this kid the best as I would anyone who is drafted but I'll pass on him and take Matthew Watson instead I think.
