When people rate players, they talk about individual awards and AA's.

While it's nice to make a squad of forty odd, it's not really taken into account.
You need to take your blinkers off if you think Weitering is miles ahead of Barrass.

If you’re consistently said to be within the best 44 players in the game on a squad where only 2/3 other KPD are picked you’re a premier full back of the competition.

Barrass is not that. He is very good but he is levels behind.

It is okay for Carlton to have a good player.

Yeah Weitering has Barass covered. I'd offer a Future 1st and Future 2nd for Yacob, but only a F2 for Barass.

Barrass was traded for a 1st, 2nd and a 3rd, with a 4th coming back.

Maybe on paper, but they weren't Top 10 picks. There's R1 & R2, then there's picks you get from a top 4 contender.

Not even in the first couple of players I’d want West Coast prying out of the Suns. I think he could do well at North. Think the Dees could consider it as well, they take 2 picks into the first round regularly and could give up both for Walter and something coming back. Pies obvious if they don’t get King

Would love him at Melb but we need a KPD more than a KPF. Also think we're going to have another go at Humphrey if we aren't cucked out of it by a big Vic club.

The club can also only gauge interest by putting the word out and making offers. Would be chasing Davies and Rogers OOC before Walter

Has made the AA squad 5 times since 2020, the year he didn’t he still finished 2nd in the B&F.

He is all but the premier FB of the competition. Even with his slow start this year he’s still basically unbeatable 1v1. Barrass is a very good player but he isn’t Weitering. Weitering has never had a Sicily, Battle or McGovern alongside him either.

I disagree, if Walter is keen and it is right for the club it gets done. If Gold Coast demand Pick 2 or 3, it doesn't get done for example.

Saying " we wont pay a ridiculous price for player X" applies to every single trade. Not just Walter. So that isnt really an arguement, its the norm accross the entire comp.

The point is we may be intestered in 20 players to come here. Chances are only 1 will be interested.

If he chooses the Eagles, as we've seen with others, what other clubs offer really doesn't mean anything.

The issue is what is he worth.
