Probably more to do with them meeting with him while they were on the Coast. Won’t be the last club to wine and dine him while they are in town.

It’ll be interesting to see the type of offers that get thrown Jed’s way given the demand for big KPFs.

Probably looking at him as a long term Waterman replacement whilst he's available, from Perth and seemingly wanted to play for the club growing up(not that that means all that much once drafted).

Bringing JUH in is interesting. Could be a King replacement, could be a Walter one. Could be both.

It really depends on the cost. You would think that if the situation is playing less than 10 or so games, and OOC, that they can't get a first rounder for him. Then you look at where he fits into the side.

Best case scenario is genuinely a ruck duo of Archer and CDT sooner rather than later and we have a 3 'tall' forward line of Waterman, Shanahan and Walter. I say tall in quotations as all 3 are sub 195cm, given the athleticism of Walter and CDT I have faith that that forward line and a resting ruck can function. Who knows really.

Whether you believe these things, but we have supposedly made a fairly sizeable offer to him and have been into him for a while.

I dont think the Suns necessarily need him at all, theres likely going to be decent demand.

I doubt we can compete with 16 Hungry Jacks franchises, but a decent run up the ladder may make things interesting.

With Darling having max 12 months left, we need a second KPF, so Trembath plays as the mobile 3rd/relief ruck.

It's either Walter or operation Jack Whitlock for the next 18 months whilst Port head in the opposite direction.

I think we'd be pretty prepared to get the deal done pick wise, unlike a few others that might want to protect picks going draft heavy. The club will want someone the same age as Wardlaw/Sheezel/McKercher etc and will probably pay overs to get it.
