Meanwhile, the British have decided Andy doesn't have anything to answer to. Again. We'll see.

Imagine how he'd squeal if there was less security and something happened to her or she did herself in but it couldn't be proven because you know, no cameras. Has happened before...

Reuters - You tube is running a live cross:

Outside a New York court where opening statements are to begin in the sex crimes trial of Ghislaine Maxwell, a British socialite charged by U.S. prosecutors with helping recruit and groom underage girls for her longtime associate, Jeffrey Epstein, to abuse. The trial is expected to last at least six weeks.

Jury has been chosen:

LIVE: Outside court where opening arguments are to begin in Ghislaine Maxwell trial

Sixteen months after FBI agents swooped in on her remote hideaway to arrest Ghislaine Maxwell on sexual abuse charges, the trial of the British socialite and former partner of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein is beginning in New York.

The daughter of the late British publishing magnate Robert Maxwell is facing sex trafficking charges

Prosecutors say the 59-year-old aided and abetted Epstein in grooming, trafficking and abusing underage girls in crimes dating back to the mid 1990s.

She allegedly played a key role in the sexual exploitation and abuse of multiple underage girls by Jeffrey Epstein over several years.

During this time, court documents allege that Ms Maxwell's relationship with Epstein was both intimate and professional, and he paid her to manage his multiple properties.

The couple's modus operandi, according to prosecutors, was to have Ms Maxwell develop a rapport with the girls and to normalise sexual abuse.

She allegedly did this by discussing sexual topics, undressing in front of a victim, or being present for the abuse of the minor.

Prosecutors say that Ms Maxwell — a former employee and romantic partner of Epstein's — sent gifts such as lingerie and discussed sexual topics with the girls to win their trust before encouraging them to give Epstein erotic massages, according to the 2021 indictment against her.

"She preyed on vulnerable young girls, manipulated them, and served them up to be sexually abused," assistant district attorney Lara Pomerantz said in the prosecution's opening statement.

Lawyers representing Ms Maxwell argue that she is facing trial by proxy because authorities have no more "fish to fry" since Epstein killed himself.

I have just finished reading 'Perversion of Justice' (The Jeffery Epstien Story) by Julie K. Brown. Published by Harper Collins 2021.
This is a really good backgrounding to the whole story and documents thoroughly the behind the scenes machinations of the politiical and legal players of this story.
It is a highly reccommended read if you want to understand the whole case without the sensationalism and why he was never brought before the courts and seriously convicted for so very long.

Same prosecutors who sought and said they had located the video of Epstein's suicide but then due to a "technical errors" the video "no longer exists". Their words.

The number of high profile people who have their name in this case is astounding.

I very much look forward to this being opened to the public once the case is ruled on.

Apparently string of CEOs resigning world wide in the wake of the trial. Also Omicron (another 1 in 50m situation) conveniently slides in to detract news.
Who has resigned because of the case? I have been following this for years and haven't heard of many names involved.

A witness is testifying he drove girls to Epstein's, one of them was 14yo so he's backed her testimony as a minor victim. It's disgusting. Epstein was having on average three 'massages' a day.

A man has testified at Ghislaine Maxwell's criminal sex abuse trial on Wednesday that he drove teen girls to the Florida mansion of the late financier Jeffrey Epstein and saw them leave with hundred dollar bills.

Getting even weirder.

The jury in Ghislaine Maxwell's trial was shown photos of Maxwell massaging Jeffrey Epstein's feet and another of the pair kissing, as one of the four women to accuse her claimed she had seen photos of Maxwell naked and pregnant.

The accuser, Carolyn, said under cross examination that she had seen a photo in Epstein's home of Maxwell 'nude and pregnant.'

Maxwell is not known to be a mother, and no further details of the alleged pregnancy were given in court.

The same hard drive contained emails sent by Maxwell in May 2001 berating Epstein's Palm Beach house manager Juan Alessi, who she referred to as John.

Maxwell wrote to a woman named Sally that Alessi was 'doing a truly awful job.'

Maxwell complained about the 'filthy pool' and how Epstein's 'massage creams' were not tidied up.

Maxwell said that 'I am at a loss' about how to get John to follow her orders.

Maxwell also asked about the progress of the 'household manual', which appeared to refer to the 58-page booklet with hundreds of checklist items for running the residence which was already admitted into evidence.

Another document from September 2002 created by Maxwell was titled: 'Palm Beach new shampoo and massage products'.

The list contained 16 different shampoos and 13 massage products to be used in the home including some from high end brands like Kiehls.

The jury has asked for office supplies and another look at the flight activity.
