That’s how bad our ruck stocks are.

Needing to play him in the centre is a reflection of list management, not the decision to play him there. Rob is barely sanfl level ruck, with about a div 5 ammo leg.
Utter crap, ROB dominates in the SANFL and is going at 81.5% Disposal Efficiency and has averaged 4 clearances, 4.5 Marks and 4 tackles in his 2 games this season. ROB's field kicking is quite acceptable for a Ruckman. He's obviously no Brodie Grundy but he's going OK for a 4 AFL game rookie Ruck.

Trade him end of year. Gold coast might take him if they take pity on us. Junkins just needs to go.

And he tackles hard, I love his hunger and aggression

I think ROB was ok last night. Offers more around the ground on sauces current form and will only improve..I would keep playing him.

Yeah, his kicking has been atrocious at AFL level but that’s the same as the rest of the team at the moment. We couldn’t hit the ground with a handful of wheat [emoji35]

You’re better than that to quote DE for the disposals rob has had this season. His disposal by foot is horrible, but obviously got shafted by umpires last night in a few stoppages.

But anyway. Our ruck list management is horrendous. It’s a pretty dire situation when josh fukn Jenkins is a feasible option to lead the ruck.

I'll say it again ROB's field kicking is quite acceptable for a Ruckman, I don't know how much you've seen him play but I've seen every SANFL game he's played the previous 2 year's via my SANFL digital pass and no way is his kicking as bad as you state, not even close. If you were to argue his his goal kicking that's an altogether different issue.

He got beaten in the ruck at times last night, but we don't have any other immediate options. If your options are play Sauce, who doesn't really produce at any higher level, or keep playing O'Brien for the same result and maybe get some long-term gain from it too, I know which i'd take, but I also know which one the selectors will take too.

I think a lot of people think it sucks because he has an awkward way of bending over when he kicks. He generally hits his targets if he's given time to get it away, it's just not super sexy the way he goes about it.

Jenkins isn't the problem, he's a symptom. Walker is the first forward that needs to be dropped, he's been worse with much more opportunity.
Nah Jenkins before Walker!! Jenkins effort is desirable at least

Jenkins; Walker
Av disposal 12.5; 11.8
Disposal eff. 66%; 68%
Con disposals 19; 26
Turnovers 5; 13
Goal assists 2; 3
Involved in Score 19; 20
Av pressure acts 7; 13
1 percenters 3; 8

His role is the link up but the whole setup is dysfunctional and probably caused by 6-6-6!!

Did our coaching panel not know 6-6-6 was coming. The game plan should have been built around new rules. An example of not having a plan is our kick outs where we kick short passes to dangerous positions instead of using the additional yardage.

Agree, he doesn't like competing one on one as he is from a basketball background, get him to ruck and use his agility to run around the ground so he doesn't need to compete one on one.

ROB can't kick to save his life, but his intensity and attack on the ball last night was 1000% more than 90% of his teamates. After the ridiculous Brown free kick, he lost his confidence massively but before that he was making second and third efforts after the ruck contest while our midfield were still standing around flat footed.

He can't ruck, he's too scared of jumping at the centre bounces. Playing him on the wing is about the only option we have.

This guy has always been a fraud but your strong team and dynamic forward line in 2016-17 hid his flaws.

How you are keeping an elite young talent in Fogarty in the reserves (playing backline?) while paying JJ more than half a mill to dish up what he dished up last night is mind boggling.

If I were the Crows I’d offer to pay half his salary to offload him to any club that will take him at the end of the season. Perhaps he could be useful to Gold Coast as Lukosius and Wright continue to develop.

Fogarty is your future, JJ has never been anything but a seriously limited footballer.
He has averaged 47 goals across the last 5 years; so it's important to not forget that.
But he really looked cooked last night [ not to mention other games this year ]..we had an 11 day break too; players should have been running out the game with urgency.

Lots of reasonable comments about ROBs kicking, but his handball technique is as bad as I’ve seen.

On Jenkins though - I’ve defend him as nauseum, but as of last night I’m over it. Sure he’s unconventional and a tough matchup but the basics are non - negotiable

JJ has always been conservative with his efforts, casual for some

But last year, he seemed to be working harder and sticking to team structures

Feels to me like he’s one of the first to drop his bundle when the team isn’t clicking. They’re not working so why should I?

He’s not on his own though. Our dads army forward line (contracted for what another 3 years?) isn’t looking promising on the contract or playing front
