Even taking the best round-by-round return from the two Coleman leaders gives a total that is barely on track.

Cameron: 2 6 3 7 4 5 3 3 1 0 2
Curnow: 3 5 2 6 2 3 9 1 2 3 1

Best: 3 6 3 7 4 5 9 3 2 3 2 = 47

Edit: Even adding Hawkins only adds an extra goal.

Hawkins: 2 1 0 2 4 5 8 1 3 3 1

No it won't happen.

Cameron is on 36 goals after 11 games with an average of 3.27

Assuming he plays another 14 games this season that is another 46 goals, getting his total to 82, and that is assuming he plays as many games as he possibly could.

Each team should have to nominate 1 forward who can't go beyond 50 and can't be benched every time they kick a goal. Give us a shot at 100 again and also for players who can't run 15kms like Tony Lockett. The nominated player for each team would become a huge star like the quarterback on an NFL team

Has anyone fallen off the cliff as quick as Cameron after being named as the best play in the league? He’d be the best player if the list started at 200.

Probably a slight exaggeration.
Came back from his concussion and the 3 games he missed subsequently and has had 30 scoring shots in 6 games - he just happens to have missed more than half of them

He had 39.19 after 13 games.
Got ironed out early against Melbourne

He’s actually had more scoring shots per game since his return than what he’d had before it.

Get the radar in order next year and I think normal service should resume

Just another lazy 2.7 goal average for the season.

Statistically, he almost sits alone with 584 career goals from just 230 games. Only Franklin has a superior goal average (3.0) so if Cameron can get that shoulder fixed next month, and come back healthy during the summer preseason, it's fair to say another 70 goals is on the cards as he closes in on Eddie Betts who currently sits 29th all time in the goal kickers tally.

Buddy had quite a few years of slow down, where his performances dropped off due to age that lowered his goal average. Cameron has not yet reached that stage.

He wasn't suggesting he was going to catch Franklin's average. He was indicating that of current forwards (for now) he's leading on it in the post Frankin world.

Total goals will always be the bigger marker in the modern game. So Buddy will stay the king.

203 goals to catch Jack Riewoldt. Will he be able to play another 4 or 5 years? I'm not sure. He hasn't been the same player since his movement has become proppy off injury so I'm not sure his longevity will match gorillas Walker and Hawkins, or the athletic freak Buddy (who admittedly didn't rely on athleticism that much at the end).

Does he still not really train?

Really, playing for a poor Geelong team? Unless they are getting some gun young midfielders the rest of us don't know about.
