Or we take him at 6 in the draft. Game glitch. lulz
It would be interesting if Geelong got to pick 6 and there is a draftee they wanted but didn't think they could get, would they really want to use that pick on Cameron

I admit when it comes to matters involving the expansion clubs, I do not trust the AFL as an impartial body.

The AFL will tell them to match just for the optics. If a GF team walks away with Cameron and a bevvy of draft picks they will get blowback. That's reduced a bit if they can say Geelong had to trade for him.

Why the hell would Cameron sign for them, having just requested a trade?

I mean he might but he could also go to the draft which is the risk they take if they match.

This is some ridiculous hand-wringing...

It's not like all these clubs have some inherent advantage that makes them better. Richmond were a basket case for 30 years. They turned it around. Brisbane were bottom four for five years in a row, losing players hand over fist. They turned it around. Stop carrying on like these clubs are just naturally successful and free agency cements that. This isn't Manchester City and Chelsea simply buying players because they have more cash.

Meanwhile, Carlton have just picked up Zac Williams via free agency. Surprisingly he isn't mentioned in this screed.

Which clubs do they want players to join via free agency? Is it all terribly unfair unless Jeremy Cameron goes to Adelaide or North Melbourne?

Cause Williams is good Cameron very good

It's fairly obvious no? Congrats to the cats if it comes good.

Certainly one way to rejuvenate a cooked list

a cooked list that will beat your mob on Saturday night.

One of the few times we are in the dominant position... used to dealing with clubs like Carlton who’s supporters wheel out the “preseason draft” line.
Up to the Cats to get the trade done.
Not gonna bother hanging around this thread, already seen some woeful repeat offender trolls, but you’ll find this will be swift and smooth with Stephen Wells.

We all have patience and we’ll soon enough find out what pain free exchange is at hand.

I have no absolutely no doubt it will be dealt with fairly and hopefully swiftly.
He want the Cats, the Cats want him
They always get it done without too much fuss.

No fuss means you're coughing up early picks.
Otherwise there will be fuss.

Turn it up. He's OOC and a free agent. If you match you'll get better than the FA compensation but to claim you're in a "dominant position" is pure fantasy.

Wasn't Ratugolea originally from up on the NSW/Vic border and a Murray Bushranger. Reckon he would see the writing on the wall in as much he isn't playing if Stanley, Blicavs, Hawkins and Cameron are playing. Would the Giants do pick 11, Ratugolea and Parfitt for Cameron? Would leave them options of Riccardi, Himmelberg, Finlayson and Ratugolea up forward and let them have a Preuss/Ratugolea rucking tandem. Seen a lot worse.
Don’t do drugs kids.

Sorry meant narkle. Would you prefer to trade 10 & 15 or 10 and ratugolea and narkle?
Geelong won't be giving up a player, and GWS are really in desperate need for 22yo's either. Sav would be 5th in line, so no better off at GWS and Narkle will only leave because like Caddy he wants to join his old mate at Richmond. Constable will leave if a club like North or Melbourne offer him 22 games a year in the middle.
