LOL yes there was you clown.

Won’t matter tho. You’re going to take your afl compo. You don’t have the cap to match despite your ceo chest beating. We can give you some tissues for your trouble

I'lll take some of those tissues thanks but for a completely different reason 😜

People worrying about Sav... surely the plan is:

2021-2022/3 - Hawkins and Cameron in the forward line, Sav around the ground/2nd ruck/3rd tall forward
2022-2025 - Cameron and Sav in the forward line

Given his age, Cameron fills the gap between Hawkins' eventual departure and us developing another key forward very nicely indeed.

Either way it doesn’t really matter because you have plenty of picks to hand over.
It does in terms of the fact that it clearly makes a deal possible, but it doesn't mean that Geelong has to hand them over.

Here comes the game of brinksmanship - where Geelong doesn't want to hand over the world for a player who is coming out of contract anyway, and the Giants don't want to lose him for nothing. Accompanied by the usual three-week BigFooty Dodoro-esque shitfight.

Hey guys, just dropping in from the GWS board, do you think this is fair?

Cameron to Geelong

Geelong's 3 first rounders, plus every future pick until Cameron dies of old age, plus a 21 year old clone of Gary Ablett Jr, plus the 2007 premiership cup with "Geelong" scratched out and "GWS rulez" written over it, plus 100 billion dollars to GWS, plus Chris Scott has to teach Leon Cameron how to grow a beard and coach

Or maybe that but also GWS get Guthrie, Stewart, Parfitt and Henry for a fifth round pick?

Complicated by the fact that the clubs have already, undoubtedly, sketched out the rough parameters of a deal.

That's ridiculous, I don't think even Chris Scott could teach Leon Cameron how to coach.

This.

We don’t have to look for a key forward for some time now

You sure? Perhaps we could get Lachie Neale for a packet of biscuits to make it more acceptable?

It was in the linked article but is obviously wrong.

If we win on the weekend we should also hand over our premiership medals so they can pretend they won last year. Its only fair.

I'll be ready says Freddie.

Not happening. ... Carlton will not trade it even if we wanted to. If you want to trade you will end up with late R1's
They want to split their pick 7 so they don’t have to use it in the Saad deal. That way they still end up with a late first rounder and get Saad.

Cats can't be happy that GWS have decided to announce this now and create an unwanted distraction heading into the grand final.

Perhaps the initial trade discussions haven't been so cordial.
