I honestly think just getting him and his contract off the books is a win for The Giants, despite what pick or trade they get for him.

As a rule The Giants rarely trade out players they do not really want to keep.

More than 3 days after ports loss, its been pre-booked, solid player and perhaps 2 good gets for Port in Finlayson and Dawson.

Deni is closer to Adelaide than Sydney and it's a much easier drive. If he had an urge to be closer then he would ask to get to a Melb club. And that's ignoring the whole situation regarding his parents.

pretty much that is the state of affairs' Id reckon or close enough anyway. (maybe slightly exaggerated at both ends in that it probably isnt quite desperate, and Port are probably thinking he'll be handy enough)
