Depends for mine, do Suns want to really really keep him, could drive a hard bargain for an early 2nd given he's contracted (which would be significant overs on what he's done IMO). If Suns are half happy to free up the list spot, whatever we get for Acres or less
Agree, it depends if Suns prefer to keep him.

He cost them pick 11 but they wouldnt get that now.
Id assume you get 28 for acres and offer that but gc dont really need more picks this year. Maybe a future 2nd? Unless they just keep him.

Feels like one where it's entirely based on how GC rate him. I like to think we arent chasing a young contracted player unless we have word GC are ok letting him go because otherwise we could be paying significant overs on what he's shown.

He was drafted at pick 27.

The Suns reached and traded a future mid 1st rounder (PP?) Pick 11.

So in the live draft every other club valued him as pick 27.

So has his ranking improved from 27?

Sure. But plenty of clubs pay too much and go too early.

Eagles used 13 on Brander. And he was delisted and they got nothing. And Brander I feel played more games and showed almost as much.

A team will need to pay overs as he is contracted and is rated atthe Suns.

Suns are desperate to clear cap space apparently, so I am sure that Gold Coast will agree to his trade request.

What you get for Acres from us seems about right for me.

Honestly, there will be others we will want to clear before Sharp. He won't be given away ala Brodie.

Edmunds reporting seems a bit surprising to me. Rankine's speculated 650K is the difference between what has to be paid (95%) and 100% cap.

No doubt some salaries will go up in 2023 like e.g. 3rd year Hollands, Sharp, Jeffrey, Davies, 4th year Anderson, Rowell, Flanders but then Suns still did not re-sign Markov, Burgess, Corbett and cheap Constable, Tsitas. Yet, add Long salary. Next year Fiorini, Thompson significant salaries will be off the book.

I doubt Suns need to off load more players to get space for a top target this off-season. But I also doubt Suns are desperate to clear more space after Rankine leaving.

Suns were planning cap space for Luko, Rankine, King, Anderson, Rowell. If Fiorini leaves and possibly Sharp and Corbett, that would clear another 1M (another 8% cap). Or will there be more surprises for Suns? Interesting.

add to that macpherson massive pay cut would of went from 500k back to 200k no joke. even mclennan was on good coin 300k .. brodies money is cleared aswell add in the money left for greenwood, ellis is front loaded money so saves 100k so this cap space line is pretty funny..

jeremy is a good player i rate him but dew just doesn't which is fair enough...

Media stating Suns keen to hold him for another 12-months unless an enticing trade is presented.

Guessing that would likely be a future 2nd at a minimum.

Just depends how badly the Dockers or Weagles want him next season.

Freo may pay that as it wont be a early 2nd.

Maybe the Eagles would offer Ports future 2nd if they get that for Rioli. Cant see them offering their future 2nd as it could be pick 19.
