has indiana made a big error in giving bayliss away to the blazers. he was the summer league top rookie and i saw highlights of him scoring 35 points. is this what we can expect from larry bird

I still think the biggest mistake was Mayo and Love. Love will be good mark my words but I think O J Mayo will be one of those franchise type superstars. Of course still early days, and Summer league is Summer league no real point getting hyped up over it.

OJ Mayo has the shot selection of jamal Crawford and turns it over way too much. He is all hype and no substance! Did you see K-Loves stats for the Summer League? The guy is a beast and will complement Big Al perfectly! They also got Mike Miller to spread the floor as well.

Here are his game-by-game points and rebound totals:

Game 1: 18 points and 13 rebounds
Game 2: 18 points and 17 rebounds
Game 3: 26 points and 15 rebounds
Game 4: 10 points and 9 rebounds (Played 18 mins then got injured)

Marcus banks has the scoring record in the summer league with 42 pts and looked what happened to him.

BTW it's Jerryd Bayless not jerryd beyliss.

Bayless, Mayo, Rose and Love will all be guns imo.

Yeah I know K-Love is a machine, i am a fan of him too. I just have a feeling in 5 years time they'll look back and say "we could have had Mayo". Mayo does turn it over alot and he is hyped but I just think he is going to be a superstar. The NBA suits the shot happy types.

How do two power forwards on the one team complement each other perfectly?

That was the whole problem before, Big Al is undersized for the C position. They need to draft a 7-foot banger, someone who can defensivley take the big boys, keeping Al out of foul trouble.

Instead they got Love. Yay.

With Ford the Pacers didn't need to draft a PG first up.

Rush looks pretty promising from all I've heard and seen. Shoots well, good basketball IQ and good defensively. If he turns out as predicted (good but not great) then we have a lot of quality at the wings with Granger and Dunleavy both coming off career best seasons. Plus I don't think Indiana really wanted a shoot first PG.

Bird did well to get to get the player he wanted plus a very decent back-up PG in Jack who should be a good match with Ford as he can match-up better on the bigger PGs.

Probably not, but they obviously didn't rate Lopez. In the West are there any really good offensive centres? Duncan:thumbsu: The injury prone Yao maybe. We have no idea what Oden will be like. Shaq is old and fat! I think that Big Al and K-Love will go pretty well together!
Shaq even if he is old and slow still puts up around 17 and 9 which is good.

Duncan, Stoudemire (if you cosider Duncan then you consider STAT as well), Ming, Al, Okur, Bynum, Biedrins, Miller, Chandler.

Still a lot of good C's in the West.

Ok then:

Duncan:thumbsu:
Stoudemire:thumbsu:
Yau- Injured a lot
Al - On his team
Okur - Shoots 3's, not really a C
Bynum - Played good for 30 games, unproven
Biedrins - A purely defensive centre
Miller - Past it
Chandler - See Biedrins

So what if he has poor shot selection now? most players as young as him and that have received as much hype have poor shot selection, Lebron had terrible shot selection his 1st year in the league(shot something like a 40% clip). All hype and no substance?!? The guy was the second leading scorer in a big time conference(Pac-10) outscoring other lottery picks Brook Lopez, Jerryd Bayless and your boy Kevin Love. And as for the amount of turnovers, that is to be expected with the amount of time he had the ball at USC and all the defensive attention he got - Dwyane Wade turns the ball over like there is no tomorrow and is considered an All-Star and will be suiting up for team USA in Beijing.
Your reasons for hating on OJ are all hype and no substance
