Shame. So... now what? All the eggs in the Shaw basket?
Guys like Reid and Tippett have snuck down to the second round.
We've got a chance of jagging a KPF with our second pick.

If I was a young player, I would walk out on Melbourne without hesitation as soon as my first contract was up. It is in their best career interests to desert that pathetic rabble of a club. I feel sorry for Port and the Bulldogs. These clubs are in no-man's land, and I'm not sure how they are going to try and get back to being competitive while GC, GWS and Melbourne are around.
Melbourne must be the only club where the supporters are more interested in the off-season than the normal season. Every year they start crapping on about how exciting their young list is going to be, and how they've picked "the next Nick Riewoldt" and now the "next Jonathon Brown". Then when the actual football season starts, they realise how shit they are after about Rd 1 or Rd 2, and wait with anticipation for the next draft.
People crap on about Carlton and Collingwood, but Melbourne are easily my most disliked team. I hope they fester at the bottom of the ladder for a long time, and they will if they hang on to Neeld who is probably the worst coach in the comp. I can't believe their fans buy into him. Damian Drum mk2.
On topic though, are there any mature age forwards ala Tom Lee in the SANFL or VFL going around that would be worth a late ND or rookie pick?
.... however Melbourne are certainly a team im learning to really despise as wellany true dockers supporter will hate the eagles more than any other.... however Melbourne are certainly a team im learning to really despise as well
The eagles are like the anti-Melbourne, they are a very well run organisation which can be extremely annoying cos they never seem to do much wrong and apart from derby losses and dud picks occasionally there's not much to rib them on. Even Swift is gone now
. Hopefully we beat them in a (grand) final next year.I thought this thread would have been closed by now. Why be haters people?
Nothing wrong with just a little hate - certainly for the wee-girls and the Melb hand-out tanking club
lol, more than a bit of hate here. Especially towards the Demons and CC/ Schwab. It's like being upset at the ex's new boyfriend.
melbournefc Neeld says Mitch Clark is keen to take on a mentor type role with Hogan

... and unmarked skin. There goes his future![]()
... and unmarked skin.
Clark to fart in Hogan's face and tell him to suck it up would hardly be classed as 'mentoring' him. There goes his future![]()

Sure looks thrilled to be at Melbourne.

Can Jesse put together a contract like what Tippett did?
Clause: if I want out you guys receive a second rounder off a club of my choice.
Of course, but it's a different sort of hateThe eagles are like the anti-Melbourne, they are a very well run organisation which can be extremely annoying cos they never seem to do much wrong and apart from derby losses and dud picks occasionally there's not much to rib them on.
