Not to add more shit in this story but I keep hearing the same thing about Hogan being on the gear in my circles.

Situation doesn't surprise me. Hope the dude can sort his **** out. Don't have a problem with us distancing ourselves if we don't think we can help him.

I am mostly over the complete sham that was signing him in the first place after I melted this time last year, but I am still ****ed about what could have been if whomever made the decision was competent. If this is the catalyst to us not making the same mistake yet again, I think it is ok.
 
My partners 19 & 22 yo children are amazing. Great work ethic, emotionally intelligent, funny, confident.

Methamphetamine. Its because he's often grinding his jaw and show's other symptoms of anxiety.

The thing I don't understand is if he is regularly on the 'gear' how has he avoided anything coming up from drug testing?

I have no doubt he likes to have more than a few frothies (and on the darts as well) but I just don't get how he'd have hidden it from the media for so long if it were something more??? Clearly the poor guy has problems and is therefore an easy target and it is easy to believe he's doing things he perhaps shouldn't be but I am worried this is one of those times rumours become 'fact' because people are hearing from multiple sources and therefore believing them even if they originated from 'assumptions' and not facts. "Look at his eyes, it's clear he's on the gear" isn't comprehensive proof - a positive drug test would be though.

Sadly, I think the club should cut him loose, with the appropriate post-contract assistance in place.

The guy is a great natural talent but just seems to be lacking in the mental side of things. A great shame.

I've got a cupboard of participation trophies from school/sport 25-30 years ago. I feel I'm doing ok.

Young people these days have to deal with a highly casualised workforce and more uncertainty in many ways and more mature topics sooner than I ever had to.

I'm not a Piers fan. The fact that you think it's just old people complaining about young people is a narrow view as well if you want to argue like that.

I’ve never seen him with a drink in his hand lol. I have seen him however jawing, and jumping around acting like an idiot. I’d be suggesting mdma/coke would be his go to, and not meth or alcohol...

MDMA and Coke and the reason he hadn’t been caught is because he’s out of competition, so no WADA testing. He may get tested by the AFL but I don’t believe that doesn’t count as a strike, so inconsequential for him.

That scenario is so Fremantle.
 
It's all still to play out obviously, but last year he took a break and came back fine. It may have positive flow-on effects given the foot issues and playing the long game with rehab there is good policy.
 
So because Hackdorn's spiel is all over the lead story on PerthNow does the club either come out and say it is rubbish or decide to keep saying nothing and hope it goes away.
 
We should be bringing in a new guy with the right attitude. A developing ruck or kpd would be best.

The mood around the club is positive with the chance of a complete restart in the offing with a great bunch of kids. No room for a guy with all that baggage.

Lets hope Freo does the right thing.
