Depending on his contract and how much of it will the swans be willing to pay, a club who wants a KPF/2nd ruck role for depth may bite for a 4th rounder.
May work out OK for the bulldogs - Swans pay 70% of contract, bulldogs give up a 4th rounder - little risk for the Dogs who dont have a ready made fwd - White would know he has 1 year to prove himself or he is out on his ear - little risk - possible good reward.
This isn't charity mate. Why wouldn't they just de-list or keep him?

Poor Jesse, he's one of those players that looks like they should be good enough for AFL but for some reason it just doesn't come together. There have been a few ... like JON from Richmond a few years ago. Will end up on a rookie list somewhere and then probably dellisted a couple of years after that.

I recall watching this guy ruin Carlton for about a quarter and a half in 2009 (he kicked 4 that day), thinking "wow, this guy can really play!".

And yet... apparently... no he can't.
This is because adam hartlett played on him.

In saying that, we need key position depth. Worth a late pick in the national draft or a rookie spot.

Mmm, don't really want him on the GC, would rather the time be put into Lynch, Day, May and Dixon. With Gorringe hopefully over his injury troubles we shouldn't need Spud White.

Just don;t see how this guy can't make it at the level. Strong, tall, agile, can kick a goal, take a grab. Just doesn;t seem to be able to put it all together often enough. Would have thought the Dogs would have been all over him, as if he can get it together Mitch Clark style, he could be a really good get for them. Then again, they have been burnt taking this type before, with guy slike Kingsley Hunter, Daniel Bandy etc.

I would be interested for pick 60ish and a pick upgrade...people were calling Hale a spud when we picked him up and he has been quite serviceable...think Monkey can work his magic on young Jesse...I don't see Hale and Roughead being our ruck combo next year with Bailey being given every opportunity to be our number one ruckman, if this fails I would like to seek other options rather than resorting to Roughead in the ruck straight away...White and Hale could be that option...McCauley, Grimely and Lowden all could be banging the door down to play but with Hawthorns luck with ruckman I would look at it.

And I'll get in with this before someone else does. :p

would prefer him over dawes and gumbleton.
He simply can't play as a forward.
He has no idea where to lead, no presence whatsoever and his hands are woeful.
The guy will be 25yo in January and the likelihood of him improving to hold down a KPF spot is to say the least slim.

You'd get an occasional highlight out of him, but frustration would be the overwhelming emotion.
