He was immense tonight. Playing where he belongs.
 
He and Blair are very good at the moment. Jesse is in career best form, playing very well.

Credit where its due. Jesse played well in the VFL, was promoted, and now two excellent games on the trot in the seniors. He looks a different player in his body language on the field. Looks confident, determined, where previously he was tentative, and would pass off the ball rather than take responsibility. He is finally starting to impose himself on the game. Dont know what has happened to turn him around, probably playing in a position which suits him better, but great for him and us.

He was also sporting a man bun last night. Could have something to do with it.:hearteyes:

13:23 left in the 2nd quarter. Tap work from Cox to Jesse was brilliant on both parts, the ruck and the roving. Jesse was caught but great synergy nonetheless.

He has shown he has the attributes to be a solid contributor. We just need him to be consistent. Next 2 weeks will be telling.
 
Forget this third best forward crap.

I just hope Jesse can get a mentality that he is the best forward and he doesn't care who plays on him, he will beat him.

Also liked that move, big Jesse hit the ball at top pace and unlucky not to shave a goal. Probably lucky not to get pinged for htb though.

Small steps but he looks aggressive and confident.

He is playing pretty well at the moment.
As a 3rd tall he plays like a big midfielder. He has the speed/agility/athleticism. He is even shrugging tacklers like a big mid.

If he continues to play in this manner, he may well just save his career.
 
IMO never should have been dropped last year, though in saying that great to see CFC develope him in the back half of the field over the off season and early season.

The role Jesse is playing now, the tall athletic player that can move forward or back plus through the mid field at times, is how I would like to see Jono Marsh developed.

I think Jono would be a super utility type with x factor.
 
What I noticed about White's game y'day was the side bump celebration with Cox. The fwd line is having fun on the field, points to a good vibe amongst them and that is half of the mental battle won.
And that rush after Cox's tap deserved a goal but in true Jesse style he got caught.
