Hmm. Bad 2nd trailer

Lots of vision from season 1, thought it was a fan-made thing for a minute. Some pretty cliche stuff in there too.

Hope they can keep quality from season 1 without Killgrave.

Are the Netflix Marvel shows going to be wound down since Disney is starting their own streaming service soonish?

I would say flashbacks or hallucinations, yes. He isn't listed as a major character for the season.

Does S3 stand alone from The Defenders? I couldn't make it past the first episode of that series.

Season 2 and yeah, I havnt really seen many references to Defenders yet either. Jessica Jones is more grounded than the mystical stuff Dare Devil got into as well.

Finished season 2 and while I liked it I did have some concerns

it felt like it was going round and round with no real answer to how to end the mom threat, so they decided to have Patsy shoot her despite being at the hostipal near death and not knowing where they were o_O

This season felt more feminist to me and I did notice the lack of female victims besides the dead dectivie, it felt like the the only people being beaten up were the males. I could write a long essay on this but I suspect I’ll be called a woman hater or something so I’ll let it go.

Overall it was solid without being great, won’t be a repeat watch that’s for sure.

Yeah watched it yesterday, and whilst I thought it was OK, I felt it overall missed for mine.

Superman effect happened when you have someone simply more powerful than the titular character, in that there's no physical way to end the threat without shooting it in the face and killing it, which happened about 12 episodes after it should have. For me this season of JJ could be summed up in "half arsed stupid decisions."

The amount of times that a simple answer of what a character was doing, or what they knew could have saved a lot of effort, running back and forth, and exposition from even happening that the season just seemed to kind of drag on really when someone could have just gone "we know a forger, he's going to abscond to places unknown whilst she is in solitary" but instead they spend about 4 days running around to cause friction and set up extra time so everyone at the end single the Lonely song from Team America.

Ultimately like DD season 2 in a way this season was "eh" because the main villain, the opposite was just not endearing or actually strong. I mean sure she could punch things and jump, but she had no real presence, she couldn't really carry any sort of scene and so was just there like the Hand was just there, so you have a bit of running around in circles to get to somewhere that shouldn't take that long to face something that wasn't really a thing to begin with.

And personally, always hated Trish / Hellcat as just a poor character really. Child star, abuse, drug use and eventual martial skill is fitting with JJ and Defenders and that level, but Trish in this just screams spoiled bitch. So the whole daddy issues, mummy issues and character set up felt a little forced and flat.

It was ok. Some very sloppy writing though.

I liked Hogarths story line, sometimes I was more interested in that than the main arc.

Krysten Ritter was really good though.

Patsy did go cray cray...hopefully she has a better arc next time.

Episode 11 was a sobering reminder where this season lacked compared to the first JJ.

Passable I guess without reaching any great heights? Didn't really do anything to add to or set up the rest of the Defenders universe they're building unless
Dr Karl faked his own death in the lab explosion and decides to use his research for the purpose of evil upon learning of his beloved's demise?

The PI shenanigans and Hogarth arc was probably the most interesting stuff more so than the actual 'hero' elements. I'm not actually sure what it was trying to be most of the time because it sure didn't feel like a superhero series especially when compared to every other Marvelflix series.

Trish would have to be right up there with the most annoying/frustrating women from TV series award alongside Lori from TWD and Margaret from Boardwalk Empire. Some of her actions were completely mind boggling and its disappointing that we're clearly going to see a lot more of her going forward. I don't know if it was poor writing or if she was designed to make people hate her but that's where I'm at with that awful character.

The biggest plus for mine for no Night Nurse!! Sad that The Whizzer didn't get more of a run though, he was a cracker.
