The pressure him and Jetta put on yesterday was amazing. They looked dangerous whenever they had the ball in the forward 50 too.

Wrapped with his game, I think we always looked a more balanced side with him in. He was so creative and so clean last night and his defensive pressure was A one, for a little guy he can stick a tackle beautifully.

If he can have 4 or 5 good games I think he can go to another level - big confidence player.

Davey was fantastic last night as well!!

The only question over his game last night (similiar to his good game against freo a couple years back) was whether he tried to assist in too many goals rather than have a crack himself, however considering he had 4 shots on goal himself (I'll include the soccer attempt that melksham got) its hard to say its that bad of a habit to have.

Ding Ding!

Jetta and Davey both have twin boys!

Imagine our forwardline in 2030!:eek::eek:

I had wondered after his game last week whether he was going to play a few good games, and then be pushed out of the side when some senior players return. But after following up with his performance this week, I don't care who's coming back, our side needs Jetta and Davey playing as they are, so someone else is gonna have to make away. :thumbsu:

I agree, Leroy and Jetta started with a bang in their first year and there fwd pressure and speed was a great injection. Slower (older) players will struggle to get back in.

Alwyn and Davey also started with a bang in their first year.

Great game from the Jetski last night. He was brilliant! And he was great against the Aints last week as well so it's not like it was just the occasion or opponent that lifted him.

Wrapped about his footy at the moment. He's keeping Williams out of the side, that's how well he's playing!

Leading the league in average goal assists with 3 per game. Has only played 2 games, but still- we'll take what we can get ;)

Of course his pressure his great, but his desparation at the contest, willing himself into the game, has been much improved. I loved when the ball was there to be won in the centre and he charged in, tapping it to our advantage. Looking good :thumbsu:

Obviously after he broke his thumb the medicos realised it was out of wack to begin with. They seem have rectified the problem, because now his tackles are sticking and the fumbles are gone. Keep proving us doubters wrong Leroy!

Leroy is a confidence player with a lot of tricks but he also does a lot of hard chasing and tackling. Agree that he needs to be more selfish around the goals. He gives it of when he is goal scoring positions too many times.

Started to get rid of that Dancing element of his game. You know where he tries to dance around opponents in the forward 50 and make easy goals impossible. I'll get off his back once he starts kicking 3-4 goals a game.

If he kicked 3-4 a game he'd be the best small in the league.

2-3 assists and 1-2 goals would be easily "enough" IMHO, his off-the-ball efforts have never been a question.

He'd probably be close to the best forward in the league.

2-3 assists and a goal or two a week would be great would sensational, Leroy would have 10 year career based on doing that alone.

Jetta was awesome on the weekend. His pressure was terrific. I would say that he was involved in at least 10 scoring shots and his skills were great (apart from his set shots).

If we kicked straight on the weekend we would of won by 70+ points.

Matthew Lloyd averaged 3.4 goals a game.

Darren Bewick, probably our best small forward of the last 25 years averaged 1.4

Mark Mercuri just under 1.2

You're not asking for much.
