Is anyone anxiously waiting for Jettas first Afl goal? I know i am.He has had a couple of set shot misses, but i think his first will be a running goal, like in the
pre-season cup. Any thoughts?

It's so weird how this is working for Jetta. His kicking in general play is wonderful, he hits targets every time he gets the ball, but when he gets the ball within range of goal he must be getting really nervous or putting too much pressure on himself.

Poor bloke, you can just tell how much he wants it!

I can't wait to see him kick his first, he'll go nuts! He is playing so well, so it will happen soon enough and i cannot wait!

The good thing is he's contributing in ways that are more important than kicking goals himself. His field kicking is sublime and he's always setting up scoring opportunities for teammates.

The goal will come, it's no big deal.

i just want him 2 kick it soon
its def playing on his mind he needs 2 get it out of his system so he can relax and then he'll kick a ton

in saying that i dont want it 2 be a 50m penalty
i want it 2 be some freakish goal so hes kinda rewarded from it

The good news is despite wanting it he's not being selfish about going looking for it. He is always in the right spot for the team and his shots on goal have been when he was meant to have them.

It's not worrying the way he wants but providing he doesn't let his ground work slip up for it he;s not hurting anyone.

And when he gets one beware there could be a jettalanch of them.

For set shots... Just have him take his run up from about 200 metres back and have Bradshaw jump the fence and sit with the cheer squad. Tell the jet to put it on his chest laces out from 50. Problem solved:thumbsu:

Seriously.... From reading his journal and seeing the look on his face during games you can tell the problem is that he wants it too badly. I reckon once he nails the first one there'll be an avalanche of goals to follow it.

Maybe someone from the coaching staff, should tell him to keep on doing what he's doing and don't worry about the goals and keep on doing the team things instead and setting up other players for their goals. Like you said, once he gets the 1st goal out of the way, there could be an avalanch of goals for him.

I'd have no doubt that is/has already happening/happened. :thumbsu:
