I hope he doesnt drop his head and works hard in the twos and puts his hand up for a finals inclusion, he was one of our better players in the finals last year, smash em Jets.

Now I'm confused. Against the Tigers, was pathetic and should have been dropped. Last week, I thought he had some impact on the game in the 2nd half, after he took the long sleeve off. Now he's dropped. I guess playing the Cat's at Skilled was part of it. He has what we need, but needs to be more consistent. Don't think playing in Canberra will be of benefit to him, the same as our other fringe players.

I understand the theory against the strongly bodied Geelong, Parker inclusion was a no brainer but Im not sold on Merideth over Jetta I thought his pace would come in handy, however not surprised at him being dropped he needs to work harder, well actually not harder as he does work hard, but just smarter and back himself more. Agree about the Canberra league it can actually be detrimental. He will be back.

It might have to do with gary rohan, maybe the only reason he was kept in the side for so long was because without jetta and rohan, horse thought we might be too slow, but now with gary back and abit of match fitness under his belt, there is no need to keep the underperforming jetta in the side when he is not deserving of a spot

I agree with you wholeheartedly. If Rohan had been available throughout the season I don't think Jetta would have had as much leniency.

The thing that confuses me about Jetta is why does he always wear the long sleeve guernsey? Is he cold?

Against the Saints he wore it for the first half only. I didn't even recognise him at first during the second half!

He actually only had it on till 1/4 time. Removed at the quarter time huddle.

at recovery sessions at the beach even in the warmer waters of Sydney he is rugged up more than most, he doesnt like the cold.

Maybe thats his problem, he needs a new thermostat the jets take a while to warm up?

I think some of the Jetta criticism has gone way over the top. He's obviously a player not used to the physical side of things but I don't think he's a squib, he's still learning the week-in, week-out pounding of AFL footy.

He often still looks like a little kid, like he's not sure he belongs in a senior footy team.

But I'd argue that the best of Jetta is something we very much need, and should be nurturing as best we can to get him to deliver on his obvious potential.

I thought he really tried to get into the game in the second half last week.

He'll be back.

Yeah don't really know why you guys play him to be honest.

I was even quicker than this bloke before he got drafted. All he has is some acceleration which others eventually catch up to him with their sprint speed. Yeah there is a different between the two.

Trade him and get something for him while you can but not to WCE.

Haha. This guy.

What are you saying ? Law of averages that Bedford made a correct call ? Spot on judgement of Jetta. He is rarely wrong on assessing players which is all the more remarkable when you think of it, as he only requires one head to do it.

lolololol

Really weird time to start this thread, after one of his better games and he really looked damaging on numerous occasions on Saturday night.

He's been one of the two most frustrating players for me (the other is White) and that's because you can see the obvious talent and ability to really break a game open and they rarely do it.

I was on the "Drop Jetta" bandwagon a few weeks ago, not because I think he's useless but he just seemed to need a spell/wake-up call to kick him back into action. Thankfully, however, he seems to have done that himself and he's looked like the player we all want him to be for longer periods during the game.

My view is that he'll seriously just click at one point, sometime very soon, and become quite a consistent performer for us. He's a quater of the way through his 2nd season at senior level, we judge people too quickly at times and expect everyone to be a Hannebery or Reid.

;)

Can I have a like ?? :)

If this fellow doesn't put in he should be sent back to WA. He and TDL are like scared rabbits when someone goes near them. Must be out this week after that disgraceful handball, he missed the target by 3 to 4 metres. Yes everyone makes mistakes but that could cost us a home final.

I often enjoy the comedic value of your posts Bedders, but i'm glad you're not one of our selectors.
