Wishing the great man all the very best for a speedy and full recovery. Special thoughts to his family and the MFC Community throughout this difficult period.

Looking forward to seeing him back at the helm of the Grand Old Club soon and toasting many great successes.

Absolutely terrible news, I felt gutted when I first read of the news. Had a few tears start to well up in the eyes when I heard the interview this afternoon.

I couldn't give a stuff how the club performs, or who takes over as President, just as long as big Jim battles through this horrible disease and has enjoys another 43 years of his life.

We're with you Jimmy!

It always sucks to hear somthing like this but for it to happen to such a great human being it made me too angry to cry.

I thought I might have had cancer on about 3 separate occasions this year, but apparently I didn't, so I feel very lucky at the moment. I hope Jim can have the same good fortune for his own health.

my ex works in the ward at the hospital where Jim is and so far so good with prognosis

I wouldn't want to leave a lovely wife and kids behind and the hundreds that he has helped would demand him to be around for some time to come.
