It seems star Allies all-rounder Homer Jnr. could be about to make a shock move to the West Indies.

Rumours floating around the league in recent days have suggested that the West Indies may make a play for the talented all-rounder. Jnr who has often spoke about his dislike for several of his Allies teammates could be looking to make a fresh start and an emerging super-power like the West Indies Milkmen is the likely destination should he decide to leave the Allies.

West Indies super-captain Apollo Creed had this to say on the matter,

"We have definitely been in talks with Homer Jnr and things have progressed well. That's all I'll say on the matter."

The Allies management have yet to issue a statement.

It does make sense. I was surprised that Homer Jnr didnt leave at the end of last season with all the crap he cops. Limited oppurtunites this year I rekon has pushed him over the edge.

Personally speaking he'd be a welcome addition to our squad and any issues he's having at the Allies wouldn't be a problem within our tight squad led my the master tactician General AC Lovemaster 2000.

Queenslander should move for him I reckon.

We can push him up the order, he is a Queenslander himself and a good all-rounder/poster.

But it's up to the leadership group.

Probably would make a move.. But don't think we really have anyone to offer the allies, noone's told me they want out.

Not to mention he's left Queensland before :p. He'd be welcome in the team but i just don't see it happening.

Yeah true, we've recruited a good bunch.

Is Danni or TheWarrior still on the list? :p Dipper loves the batsmen.

Allies captain Dipper made the following statement on the rumours surrounding the potential trading of Allies allrounder Homer jnr.

'Go f*** yourselves, bushboy's going nowhere when he came up from woop woop as a schoolboy he signed a 20 year contract with us that means as well as playing cricket he has to clean the dunnies, act as the captain's personal man servant & paint the stadium during the winter. All for the princely sum of $150 per week.'

After talks with the clubs employment lawyers Dipper had this to say;

'Homer is an integral member of our one day side, he has a real chance of a premiership medal in that form of the game, unfortunately he's fallen out of favour for Test selection. We desperately want to keep him but we understand that his enthusiasm has been knocked by not palying Test cricket, it's not our policy to keep unhappy players, if Homer is keen to go then we would try to talk him out of it but would also try to do whatever he thinks would make him happy.

The possible block to any trade would be that I doubt WIM or many teams could offer us what we require to make the trade equible, we don't need batsmen, we don't need bowlers, only high standard allrounders would suffice.

Having said this I'm confident that Homer will stay, he's aware as anyone that no player who's left the Allies has ever gone on to better things, this comp is littered with the broken careers of players who left the powerhouse club & realised that they owed a lot of their previos good performances to the tactical & strategic acumen of the Allies leadership.'

Seems to be a popular pastime in what is the 'Famous Allies Culture'

Oh please.

You couldn't even afford Toadie. (If you don't watch Neighbours don't worry)

'Homer is an integral member of our one day side,
Intergral?

I question that.

I'd say in your mind he's a disposable member of your squad.

Intergal players are players who aren't available for trade at any price.

Evidently this isn't the case here.

he has a real chance of a premiership medal in that form of the game,
A fabricated piece of writing if I've ever seen it.

I seem to remember a team packed with bonus points humbled by the new kids on the block (please don't make any comparisons with the band) just last game.

That 'real' chance of a premiership looks to be slipping by the week.

Master tacticians like AC are exposing the weaknesses of the Allies with legitimate ease, and I'm sure other captains will follow suit.

Old, Slow. Sums up the Allies in two words.

It may well have to be a 3-way trade should Homer want to leave.

Turn it up buddy.

I had to have a laugh when I saw your logo the other day.

Celebrating premierships from what 01? 02?

:D

How many teams were in the competition then 2? 3? ;)

As my management have said, I shall address all questions at 10 am on Monday morning.

All questions sent via PM will be answered.
You can take that tone with everybody else but not with me, remember I control your destiny for the rest of this season.

Oh Creedy, Creedy the facts will prove you wrong as always.

We're 2nd on the one day ladder & 2nd on the Test ladder, that makes us the number 1 performing side in competition this year.

We're coming to the boil in the longer form with a certain champion fast bowler hitting his straps, it's all good for us champ.

It may well have to be a 3-way trade should Homer want to leave.
Mate if there's any trade happening you can be assured that the Allies won't be getting the sh*t end of the wedge, we're happy with out list we're under no pressure to trade as we're strong in all areas.

We won't b giving anythign away, we're not the southern sharks you know, handing over champion bowlers for under par batsmen.

Well you can only beat what's out there, we've won the first 3 premierships & we're runners up last year.

From memory it was 6 teams, 8 teams & 10 teams for our 3 titles.

Mate we're the powerhouse club that's why you're trying to take one of our players to gain an understanding of how we perpetuate a winning culture year in year out.

Anyway I'm bored by this, no trade, you can't have him.

I'm with Dipper, no trade.

Never seriously contemplated it. Loyalty is a dying art, but at the Allies, we try to have some morals, hidden somewhere deep in the dark recesses of the clubrooms.

Smile A_C... You're on Candid Camera.

I respect your decision and I respect you Homer Jnr.

But I wouldn't of dealt with TBP anyway.

Good luck for the rest of the season bro.

Stunningly... I wish to reiterate every word you just said in regards to yourself.

Maybe you could negotiate with CR7 in regards to a few DE players...
