That one premiership by 1 point that one time.

What a legacy

Sydney's era of success has been built on his methods.

How much of 2012 was Roos? Longmire was in charged of Sydney 12 months longer than Chris Scott at Geelong.

He left Melbourne with just about the best list playing one of the best brands of football in the AFL. They've won two finals.

He started at Sydney in 2002 and last coached 2017. Not many coaches are relevant across 3 eras of football at more than 1 club. No, 15 years is not normally 3 eras but there are at least 3 dramatic evolutions of the game over that time.

Bloke is in awe of himself

That doesn't make him wrong.

It's not an admirable trait.

Considering our start last season, thought we'd hit the ground running.

Not looking up to scratch at the moment. Need to work on a lot before the season starts.

Negs
- Inside 50s were poor
- Couldn't stick a tackle or mark
- Looked intimidated in the contest
- Defence looked disoriented

Pros
- Francis looks great
- Joey starting to get a bit more agility back
- Shiel is a smooth mover
