Not sure what to make of that.

On one hand it's a preseason game and the mids clearly didn't get out of first gear, so perhaps there was never any intention to apply AFL standard pressure but to work on other areas. Unfortunately that was the area Freo wanted to focus on (and well done to them, they look a proper midtable team if they keep this effort up) so we weren't able to get any sort of ball movement going thus thwarting whatever else the coaches had planned.

On the other hand, Shuey and LeCras throwing gut punches around at the end of a practice game in which there was, in theory, never any intention to pressure the man, looked outright bizarre. Almost everyone was outplayed, and any hope we had of the kids shining through was made very unlikely.

Who knows. Best to forget it I reckon.
