Anyone else have to pour out there water on the way in? F**n joke!!!
Lot of venues take a hard line on this these days. Unless the seal is not opened.
They’d much rather you pay 5 bucks or find water from a fountain.

My only concern is his overhead marking and spoiling. Other than that, he looks good....and we do need thatGave away two ridiculously stupid free kicks, and that was in the first quarter alone.
Can't fault his effort though.
We wont play all of natanui lycett and vardy
I also thought ainsworth has shown more than venables in this game + afl x

No Kennedy so Darling at 191 cm is supposed to be clunking big marks from bombs. Rubbish! His work rate was good, brought others into the play etc. he did drop a couple of sitters but plenty of others did too including our captain and several port players. It was a pre season game FFS. I will say tho that that particular Port player has a good record on Darling as he has the pace and size to frustrate his gamealmost forgot - this game was just another example that we should have traded Darling when his value was at its peak.
Were these the idiots I could hear during the game yelling and shouting like a bunch of dickheads? Came through super loud on Foxtel. Almost muted it.
Also have you contacted Port about that official? I saw him in the video on PerthNow you can see him in the polo, PA cap, with a badge on and a lanyard around his neck.
Disgusting that this BS still happens.
Jetta down back behind the play worked really well.
Cole I thought did some good things and is well equipped to handle the smaller agile forwards.
Gaff played like he was free from last years injury he carried for half the season.
We looked much quicker and at least halved the ruck contest.
Vardy played well took a couple of big marks and kicked two.
Port wanted to win that but went home with their tails between their legs.
And that was after loosing Gov at quarter time.
well said, the more dangerous forwards we have the less JD and JK will be triple teamed.Great to see footy back, and the wings looked fantastic in the full royal. Beaut.
I want to caution everyone from expecting too much from some of the younger guys. For most of them, this is their first game of senior footy - Venables has barely played in a year, so not surprising his timing is a bit off. I'd say they'll all be better for the run and look to improve next week.
Ryan looked active, but disappointed he didn't slot the sealer. Still - I really can't wait to see he and Rioli working off Kennedy, Darling and our resting ruck crashing the pack.
Who has the inside track? Vardy or Lycett?
Man has a good look and sees what he wants to see, colour me surprised. It makes me happy that finally, finally, Le Cras doesnt look to have a free pass or "credits in the bank" this year.
If either Rioli or Ryan are even half as good as we think that they are, i cannot see Le Cras getting a game. I had a good look at him yesterday and its just more of the same; he doesnt chase or tackle, and he gets around pretty half assed and is more concerned then anything these days at looking for a cheap goal via a hand off.
Its great to see that we finally would seem to have some selection pressure in our forward line.

Why exactly couldn't Ryan, Rioli and LeCras play in the same team?
So in essence we were without out 3 most structurally important players and depending on how you rank them 3 of our 4 best players and still beat port.
I'm not saying Lecras needs to be dropped but if Rioli plays well in JLT2 then they have a will have a selection issue. I dont think they can play all 4 and I think they will want Cripps left in for defensive pressure. The forward line needs to accommodate 2 talls, possibly a resting ruckman and usually a mid/HFF like Venables.Oh, I see. So we need to drop LeCras for Ryan, Cripps, Rioli or Edwards. Can't fit in 4 smalls when we have 5 that are demanding selection.
