He’s a player who has all the tools but he’ll never be aggressive enough at the highest level - and when he is aggressive he’ll do it at the wrong time by leaving his man who winds up being the catalyst for the opposition to score a goal. He’s also poor defensively and doesn’t block effectively for teammates - the reason why we went and secured Rockliff was because we knew we needed another big bodied clearance mid to support Wines, Ebert and Powell-Pepper and Ah Chee just couldn’t cut it against quality mids.

At SANFL level that sort of shit doesn’t get exploited, but in the AFL you’ll get burned every single time.

He’s a poor man’s SPP. If you can get him with the run through a brick wall attitude that Sam has, he’ll be great. But really, most posters on our board were deceived by a long handball.

Yeah, all this is why I reckon he will never be a mid for us and will end up a HFF.

Which is fine because we have lacked quality high half forwards for a while now.

But I've always found hard to buy the assumption that he couldn't find a spot in a stacked midfield, given Port gave plenty of opportunities to a raw first year mid in SPP and then went on and chased another mid in Rockliff.

Sounds like he'll fit right in - at least into West Coast's underachieving 2016/17 squad.

Hopefully 2018 is different for both Brendon and West Coast.

Bit tough on Yeo who was AA - admittedly not as a pure midfielder, I am assuming this is a B+
