Competitive preseason or normal season?
Can I gather a consensus here? Do we genuinely think Carlton will be competitive?

I meant will the be competitive in preseason or in the normal season .Competitive against Essendon or in general?
Because those aren’t the same answers.

I reckon we play our best side possible. Given there is two weeks between games. Then right into round one.
Aren't they decimated at the moment? IIRC I think they have lost a lot of their 22 during pre-season... I would still pace the vital cogs, especially Dev and Daniher at the moment.I reckon we play our best side possible. Given there is two weeks between games. Then right into round one.
It would make some sense to play a full side against the Scum then bring the kids in against Geelong to let them play against one of the top sides as part of their education.
As long as our best side doesn't include players who are underdone or not quite ready.Personally I would play our best sides for both games why not head into rd 1 full of momentum.
No. Essendon may be uncompetitive though. Can I gather a consensus here? Do we genuinely think Carlton will be competitive?

It is both as they are meant to mean the same. If pacing Joe means he doesn't play yet because he's still not up to it, then good.Which is it?
Much prefer having 3 games, its good to have that extra game to play as many kids as possible.
... thanks AFLX

Durries I think. Commercial sponsorship that caused Stants to do both durries and footy. Maybe disappointed he couldn't smoke while on field. There is no winner in this comp, is there. Bring back the Escort cup! (They named a competition after sex workers? I mean I was around at the time but I was quite callow and young)
