As long as your cover scores at a consistent rate with the ones who are out, otherwise there is a net loss against teams who manage to play their best 18 in each of the "real" bye rounds.

One of the guys on our board posted a good point that maybe we are fielding our strong team early coz it's at our home ground before we go bush where the surface may be dodgy (Despite Etihad being like concrete, but at least we know what it's like)

This may be just about the best look at how our mob will set up through preseason.

I agree in principle, but practically I think four is a bit many. I'm assuming that's 1x DEF, 1x FWD, 2x MID, which means you're assuming you'll still have two players on your bench in Round 9. Between rookies getting dropped and injuries, that might be pushing your luck.
