why are people picking savage? he seems like a spud. He had a good run of 100s last year but before that 50s and 60s. Did he change role?

FWIW regarding LDU, some guys I’m close with who work at TAC level reckon there is a lot of Bontempelli about him (not in terms of their games, but more with their junior progression). Huge talent who didn’t necessarily have the best under 18 year. Flashed brilliance with the odd enormous game, particularly late in the season on the big stage. Others have shown their talent more regularly at this stage of their respective careers, but my mates insist that he is at least as talented if not more so than anyone else in this draft class. Might take some time, but once the penny drops...

5 odd cms in height is a fair bit with Bont at 192 and a lot of other elite young Mids well above LDUs 187cms which by today's standards is on the small side for many elite youngsters coming into the league.

Cripps was also towering over Nick Riewoldt in a pre game JLT interview.

Not saying LDU is a bust by any means but I think he will need time to show his best at AFL level and a heap of games against senior men in the 2nds should be high on the agenda for him and it is a big jump from U18s level to AFL and many kids need time.

LDU IMO is not a SC option at all this year at over 175k.

If you look at his SC history ......he always throws in some tons each season, but ends up still averaging low 80's ......won't change now
