Same thing every year a few rookies fall through and too much emphasis is put into JLT performances on guys probably not worth taking a punt. I saw an article from last year where a journalist picked a breakout player from each club, he picked 1 right out of 18 because he looked at JLT form
Yep, Mcgrath from last year is a perfect example if this. Never scored more than about 50 in JLT.

Going to be a decent player hopefully to fulfill his high draft rank but I cannot see it this season.

Thank **** we took Dow at #3 and many were split over the choice on our board including myself.
Haha your a fair simpleton.

2 JLT games and he’s “hopefully” not a bust?

Glad my initial impressions of you as a poster were right.

I’m glass half fulling it.

Had 9 touches in a half against Melbourne, had 11 last night in the second half against Richmond?

Given he literally starts with 'going to be a decent player' i don't see how he is saying he will be a bust. Sounds like someones a little touchy on the subject after their rookie showed less then the other high draft picks...

lol

Win the flag and suddenly irrelevant SC players become locks.
Come at me Richmond flogs and if Vlas goes 95-100 I'll eat humble pie :moustache:

Thoughts Boris the Contradiction
If your adversaries are relying on Vlas going 95-100, then I prognosticate that this will end with you smashing a bevy of finely waved moustaches in their faces.

You will be brushy faced and steeped in glory, while your foes will be reviled and treated like the worthless, naked-faced plebeians that they are.

Is anyone starting to think about Caddy? 420k dpp might be worth a punt, especially as a lot of people rated him as a pick last year. Found his legs now etc?
Bit wary of his midfield numbers this JLT series because of no Prestia. That said, Caddy has been super impressive - and there was that article from Dimma yesterday talking about how good he is going to be for them...

Hmmmm good find

"We think he's only starting to scratch the surface of how good he can be and we're really excited by that."

Bugger, was hoping Worpel got picked. But that starting 18 will most likely be our Rd 1 side with the competition for bench spots (except Silk)

You've failed to factor in that a journalist has good odds of being a cretin.

The Crows have included Rory Sloane, Eddie Betts, Daniel Talia, Richard Douglas, Hugh Greenwood and Kyle Hartigan in a team of 26 for Saturday’s pre-season ‘Showdown’ at Alberton Oval.

Untried quartet Tom Doedee, Darcy Fogarty, Harry Dear and Lachlan Murphy will get another opportunity to impress leading into Round One of the AFL Premiership Season.
