You’ve got to be happy with that effort. Liked how the midfield worked. The defensive pressure in the forward half was excellent. Backline solid but got caught out of position at times. As for the players. Setterfield, Cuningham, Samo, Walsh, Gibbons and Newman impressed me.

So many positives but 2 quick points. SPS will be elite. Not only highly skilful but has the work rate and toughness to back it up. One percenters are impressive

Cuningham. Finally fit and showing his talent. Shows again why you don’t write off young players.

I know I know, it's just a pre season game, don't get too over excited etc etc…

but it's there, the building blocks for this great club to return to where it once was, an absolute powerhouse are there I tell ya.

Walsh, my word, too early to say our best #1 pick already? Probably, but he has superstar written all over him.

Fish, Sammo, Gibbo, NEWMAN, Setters and future multiple brownlow winner and our skip, Crippa. Absolute monsters!

Also, Cunners is going to have a 30-40 goals season soon enough, Mark it down!

Loved it, awesome mids and small forward work, didn’t like the bombing long to a pack of Charlie, Harry, and Gov early on though.


Walsh ridiculous, Setters better than I expected, Samo and Dow silky!

Fish needs to work on the basics I reckon instead of always wanting to do something cunning.
