I am getting pretty bored/sick of the job. Enviroment studies was always my #1 interest but I when with Paramedics for job security & pay once I got in. Anyway, Im keen to start looking at something different to study on the side. Is there anyone here that works in any environmental type career? If so I would love to hear your thoughts on the industry etc. I particularly love Marine studies so anyone working in marine Id love to hear from

The pay is ******* terrible. I was landscaping for years then scored a job with Parks Victoria, currently looking at a career change as it's pretty hard to live off what you earn.

how bad is the pay...Im currently on 100-120k a year... Too be honest, in the future the pay wont be a big sticking point.... especially if I go part time in both areas. Just keen on the job that is rewarding... paramedic work is just a slave to the welfare with very occasional rewarding moments

my other option is to just buy a oyster lease and be self employed

If you focus your attention to an area that has a productive human need, like farming and avoid a legislative environmental requirement, like mining reperations you will get stable workload.

Laws change, people don't care about the environment until it effects them.
