I am a full-time student who works as a casual at my local Coles. I get plenty of shifts which is good and can clear up to $250, which isn't too bad I suppose.

I really want to do a PHD, so I guess I may be working there for a little longer. I could try to be a staffer or run as a candidate but that they may be too early to do in my life.

Work in a computer shop as a purchasing officer, and back up the sales guys when they need it. Can be a bit of pressure if things aren't arriving on time or when suppliers fk orders up (reasonably regularly). Includes Saturday work which i hate, but otherwise am happy with it. Great boss and colleagues too which is worth a lot.

RMAs are the friggan worst if you handle those as well. Sometimes takes days to even get an RMA authorization code from places like altech. They're shit.

I work in retail in a super busy store

Wouldn't have it any other way. Less pay than my last job (have only had 2) but a lot less stress

The company i work for has already paid for me to do my TAFE retail certificates (completed) and have just started my Uni diploma in retail management also being paid for

Plus you get to go to awesome conferences.

Does anyone know how much a 15 year old should be looking to get paid per hour

My job is a bit of a mixed bag and im contemplating about leaving, it tends to get overrated to a slight degree by ambitious young men.

In many of the shoots they decide to do the money shot first and wait half an hour to film the rest. Most girl are nice enough to let you finish off in the backroom or whatever but like the hospitality industry you get many frustrating clients and more likely than not I end up with severe blue balls for the rest of the day.

I handle day to day running/editorial stuff for a news website, as well as graphic design and projects (sort of) - increasing that soon).

I run pubs. A change of venue or company is definitely on the cards if the right offer came along but i can't see myself ever working in another industry. The money is great and it suits my life right now.

Like most venue managers i'd consider move on to work for as a rep for a supplier or into teaching once I get sick of the hours and conditions.

Croupier (Casino Dealer)... pay is actually pretty reasonable and hours are flexible. Good days and BAD DAYS... see the best and worst in people. mostly the worst. Couldn't do it for too long, but will give me chance to travel

RMA's are completely my responsibility as well. We don't deal with Altech but if they're anything like Ingram Micro i feel your pain. They are an absolute nightmare to deal with in EVERY way.

if your referring to my post, we don't get tipped in Aus casino's. But hourly wage is far better than in the US so it evens out i suppose
So if a punter flicks you a couple of chips in appreciation of your services, you can't pocket them?

I work at Myer int he video gaming department, i want to turn gaming into a strong area and will one day move into the buying office.

Software Developer for 5 years now, have worked in 3 companies based in Melbourne, London and now Chicago... cruisy job at times, although it does involve a lot of thinking and logic/code crunching.

I do sometimes wonder what else I could be doing though. From what I gather, most of the people I did the degree with are no longer developers... more like business analysts or are getting into more managerial roles or are doing something completely different from IT.

Happy to stay where I'm at for the time being though.

I'm an editor in my day job and do some writing and editing freelance as well (and study - FML). Basically what I want to be doing, but the area of publishing I work in at the moment is skull-crushingly dull. Looking to move and hopefully will soon, but there's just not much interesting work here in the field.

ICT Professional Services, currently in a Sales/Consulting role for a large networking technology MNC. After 14 years in the industry I've just about had enough and would love to pursue my hobby and passion full time, property.
However, my current remuneration is quite good based on my experience, so it might not be the best move to walk away from that at the moment. Something about making hay while the sun is shining.

IT sales/consulting in Singapore, eh? Long shot maybe, but do you know Haf?

I find the trolleys at that supermarket that people have not returned and collect the coin they chucked it in it, its tonnes of pressure and stress with good says & bad days

I work in an office, not as much fun as the shows make it out to be.

Currently on an accounting internship at a rather large sports organisation. Given that it finishes in August I've got to sort something out quickly. I've thought about getting into sports agency or having a crack at a few of the companies I tried to get an internship at the first time around. Interesting times ahead.

I am the regional sales coordinator for the country's third largest distributor of bunk and trundle beds.

It's pretty annoying distributing beds all day, although sometimes I can just have a quick nap or a bat in the beds if it's a slow day.
