Megadeth have been better than Metallica this century.

Unfortunately the absolute superstardom Metallica achieved 30 years ago means that that doesn't mean squat. They'll be selling out stadiums forever on the back of Enter Sandman.

Would be hating it now they've got the Stranger Things boost going for them. Metallica are pretty rare on soundtracks. In the 90s Megadeth did heaps of soundtracks to try to catch up and it didn't really work.

100%, solid discography that's for sure, Metallica's has been a few misses and some reasonable efforts.

I feel like Mustaine could be a dick in real person though, he's one of my heroes but I'm happy enough to not meet him.

I think he'd be a nice guy but a bad bandmate. The Megadeth merry go round points to that. There's a few bits in his book too that are a bit how ya goin, he talks about how the other band members wanted to review the pay splits during the 90s heyday and he basically just said nope no way I'm the boss I keep the money.

The dude has various opinions of things (and yes even occasionally some really stupid ones) that he comes to himself and it's pretty obvious he doesn't really have any broad allegiances.

Well I would agree, he's more left than right overall but staunch leftists claim he's on the right it seems, it's a funny one. Even Chief said he's right just because of his support of Ron Desantis, where he has a lot of opinions (abortion, gay marriage etc) which are not conservative viewpoints. Ehh whatever.
 
If you are against control of the reproductive systems of people who can get pregnant, Ron DeSantis is not your guy.

Simple as that.

I haven't seen Rogan get upset about abortion laws. I've seen him get upset about taxation.

If you like every single thing an individual politician stands for you're purely cheering your team. I think Anthony Albonese is alright but by god this Submarine deal is absolutely insane and will end up costing many times more than forecasted for little benefit.

Still doesn't stop me from saying I think he's "good"

Also has he ever given Shapiro stick about it? He and Walsh are basically lockstep on the religious far right views.

This video seems to be about disagreement over a specific line WRT abortion and assault. Not the whole idea of banning it.

That's just one clip done by 30sec of youtubing, again, if you actually listened to a whole podcast on the topic you could hear for yourself, but you refuse to.

Its almost like Humans are actually nuanced.... and can have differing opinions or a wide range of topics. You can agree with certain opinions someone has if that topic aligns with your views, and disagree with there views on other things...
We need to stop feeling the need to try and pigeon hole everyone into a specific group..

No, im saying people try to pigeon hole Joe into left/right wing etc and cant seem to fathom that its ok to agree with certain points on both sides without necessarily being aligned with either side.
He can agree lets say with certain points De santis has, or be pro someone while disagreeing with certain points they have on a wide range of topics.
If for instance Joe ran for president, would i vote for him if I was an American citizen? Not sure, i'm pro his views on abortion, gay marriage rights etc, but i'd be against his views on gun control. Same thing
 
The problem with supporting de Santis while not agreeing with some of his views is that Rogan is saying he's happy for trans people, people who want abortions, librarians who don't want to burn books, and so on, to be sacrificed to his "reasonableness".

There seem to be no red lines for Rogan when it comes to people with far right views.

He would likely agree with Sam Seder on many things, but soon as Seder suggests that the American government should tax income above $3 mil at 90%, Seder is - what did he call him? A ****ing loser, an idiot etc etc.

Rogan will vehemently disagree with no exception abortion laws but boost the guy with arguably the most power to bring them in! The guy who is the chum of the Texan prick who brought in those laws.

No red lines - so far - for Christofascists. Tax reformers are the devil, however.
