No only did he mark really well, his disposal off both sides was impressiveGood today, pre-draft the knock on Joel was his kicking while running, no supporting evidence today, pleasing!
Agree I was pleased with his Kicking wasGood today, pre-draft the knock on Joel was his kicking while running, no supporting evidence today, pleasing!
Apparantely was told after that game he will be in consideration for the sub for the carton game, but most likely will be the emg.Is he a chance at a game this year? There is a KPD spot available.
After yesterday I actually think so, all 3 of the new draftees look like they can playIs he a chance at a game this year? There is a KPD spot available.
I thought he was the pick of the bunchAfter yesterday I actually think so, all 3 of the new draftees look like they can play
That'd be a surprise. They must really rate him. And it would suggest that they're not yet locked in to bringing a tall into the 22 for Reef.Apparantely was told after that game he will be inconsideration for the sub for the carton game, but most likely will be the emg.
I can't see how he would be considered ahead of Allan, Sullivan or Hoskin-Elliott. But I can see how he would be in a position to leapfrog Parker, Dean, Ryan and Jiath to make the list of emergencies though which would be huge for him in itself.Apparantely was told after that game he will be in consideration for the sub for the carton game, but most likely will be the emg.
For a club that was mercilessly canned for not hitting the draft/having a weak draft and trading in experienced AFL players at the expense of youth, we seem, at this early juncture, to have really nailed our draft picks from last year. All 3 look a very good chance of becoming quality long-term players and all 3 fill a need for the club. By the time the inevitable retirements roll around, I think we’ll have some handy ready-made replacements with 1 (Cochran, Hayes, West) and 2-3 (Jiath, DeMattia,Ryan, Smit,Steene, Harrison, Parker and especially Allan) years of VFL experience. After yesterday I actually think so, all 3 of the new draftees look like they can play
If he does it will almost certainly be as a delist-then-rookie.Reef coming back from an ACL is a big unknown but I’m hoping he gets another shot at it.
I agree - he's athletically gifted, and shows some very good signs. On Sunday he had some very promising Moments
Especially in Traffic made some good
Runs and used ball well when he got out
I think he might go past Ryan and TJ as a back flanker pretty quickly, but can he play tall?I agree - he's athletically gifted, and shows some very good signs.
Long term, he could be the Darcy Moore replacement.
They might be giving him more of a running role because he's missed a bit of pre season. He's tall and athletic enough. We probably need him to develop into a key defender though, because we are lacking in that departmentI think he might go past Ryan and TJ as a back flanker pretty quickly, but can he play tall?
Against Coburg it looked on tv like Ryan was playing KPD and Cochrane as a flanker. They might be giving him more of a running role because he's missed a bit of pre season. Yeah, could be trying to get some miles in his legs. Very good prospect thoughAgainst Coburg it looked on tv like Ryan was playing KPD and Cochrane as a flanker.
Could be a reason why Syd didn’t match. I think they wanted a genuine KPD and don’t view Cochran as being one.I think he might go past Ryan and TJ as a back flanker pretty quickly, but can he play tall?
While Joel faded a little in the second half of last night's vfl game, I'm impressed with his skill-set, CFC has a lot to work with this player. One of the most pleasing aspects of his game for me is that he is a one touch player, he picks up the lose ball below his knees effortlessly for a 195 cm player.

I like the look of this kid too. Might ‘attach’ myself to him, and make unrealistic demands about when he should play and whom he should replace (like I did with Ginni and then Parker last year).
Charlie West already has plenty of unrealistic supporters.![]()
