Very underated footballer. Turns it over by foot a bit but good hands and good by hand. Gets a stack of clearances which is arguably the most important possie on the ground. Put him in my dream team at the start of the year and he would have to be just about the most consistant Dt player going around. He gets between 90-120 week in week out. He is my MR RELIABLE

The problem with Joel is that when the Cats are dominating all over the ground he looks like a star and gets 30+ disposals. But when we play a team that is putting lots of pressure on us his disposal can become sloppy and he is generally much quieter. He is a good player but he is not in the elite level because of this IMO.

And that's precisesly why a Cats player won't win the Brownlow. In every game they've won it's been a pretty even spread of the load. Brent Harvey will probably get it for that reason.
