No doubt Corey's rise again has helped us a great deal this season.
I would like to see him play HBF when he slows down a little. Think he could be a good backman - with some run and carry.
Right now he is part of a gun midfield. But that time will come - he is only 29 I believe. Could have 2-3 seasons down back - prolonging his career and hopefully our success.

Did anyone see this article today in the HUN? Joel Corey has played in 15 of our 16 wins by less than 12 points and his average supercoach score for the 4th quarter is 40.7 in those games.

Great stuff from Joel Corey so far. Very happy for him. It would have been a shame if he slowly faded away due to a knee problem.
The amount of times late in games I see this guy running when everyone else seems to have stopped continues to amaze me. He goes and goes and goes and goes. Never gives in, much like a lot of our players, and I can only hope the young guys are learning.

I posted earlier on this year that a fit and firing Smithy is one of the keys to getting that third premiership of this era. And so far, he's bearing that out. 'Clutch' may be a clunky Americanism, but it certainly defines the way he does what needs to be done in close games. Always stands up. What a gun
