Almost fell off my chair when Gerard Healy suggested he might win the B&F.

Gerard and I have a thing going :p

I honestly can't understand how people could be upset with Joel winning the B&F. He's as deserving as any of our mids. Sure he isn't out there kicking flashy goals, but damn, if I haven't heard whinging about our mids that I haven't heard about Joelly this year. Who do you think LETS our flashier players play so flashy? (Hint: It's not Browny)

One of the most underrated players that I have had the pleasure to see. Takes on players a head higher and rarely loses. The bloke deserves accolades not brickbats. Not sure why some of you are so critical. What are you wanting from a 3rd tall defender? Seriously? This bloke gets a game week in week out because he can play and his fellow players, as well as the coaching staff, recognise that. He knows where to be, he knows when to mark, when to punch, when to zone off, when to be man on man. A no thrills player that would be appreciated in a Geelong or Hawthorn.

I don't think he'll be far off it. Vossy gave him a wrap mid way through the season saying something like he and Maguire hadn't been beaten yet*.

The fact that Zorko, Rich, Brown, Black and Goose all missed games may cost them the last couple of votes they probably need to win it.

Merrett, Redden and Patfull played all 22 games, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the three of 'em place in the Top 5.

*Voss probably forgot about the Geelong game, or I've paraphrased him terribly.

Another solid performance from the Underrated One. I think he's shaken whatever was keeping him back the last couple of years, and is definitely a part of our push forward into success!

Have to agree Kezz. I thought he was outstanding yesterday - particularly in the first quarter. He's been in our five most valuable players this year, and his polling in the B&F will reflect that I believe.

I have to admit I've lumped him in with a couple of fringe players in the past as an underperformer in terms of possessions and drive out of defence. However, this year he's convinced me that his value as a negating defender outweighs these. If the team can get into a position where he's the third tall defender, he will remain an important asset.

Any more room on the bandwagon Kezz?

You can come sit next to me in the drinks cart lol. Plenty of room on the Patfull bandwagon - the more we can squish on the better! He deserves a decent fanbase, like what a few of our young boys are racking up.
