Ripper Superb set shot kicking, great hands, should be the Pies focal point this year. Will make it hard for Rusling to get back into the side.

Agreed. Hes a real footballer's footballer. Hes not an athlete. Hes simply a footy player, if that makes sense.

Not sure he is going to get it as easy as last night though again, Hurley and Daniher are very raw, under done players.

He is fairly solid, reliable kick. Lets not get too carried away, Collingwood has cruised through the NAB so far and there hasn't been much midfield pressure put on in the three games to date.

I think while the ball goes forward fast he will compete well, it is when the midfield supply dries up and is put under a lot of pressure that will determine his true quality when defenders are given a reasonable opportunity to compete.

He has been fantastic thus far. Could not ask more for a guy with his experience. Hopefully he keeps up his NAB cup form into the season proper.

loved what I saw last year from him. (This wouldn't come as easy from my mouth as it does my fingers). Agree that tonight isn't much to go on considering the defenders he was up against. The instance last year when he was virtually being carried off and ran from the trainers to mark and goal was brilliant. Sorry I only remember the instance, not the game. He's a gun.

He's certainly really good when he's got the ball, be interesting to see how he goes when it's not flowing Collingwood's way, he gets chopped out etc - does he have any different tricks I guess. Which before I get howled down is Rusling's problem, one trick pony, always has been always will be.

Yeah you're right, a real one trick pony, definitely needs a few more strings in his bow because kicking 7 goals every week isn't gonna keep his spot at this level.

It is even more ironic that you think he needs more strings to his bow when you consider this bloke was earmarked as the next James Clement, the bloke was/is an abundantly talented defender.
He has probably made his mark as a forward now, but it is good to know he has the ability to play at both ends.

Mark williams is the best and most consistently accurate kick for goal in the AFL as he has done it for a longer period of time he comes before anthony but wat i have seen he is very good at kicking the ball straight. The true worth of his kicking for goal however is when there is pressure situations and he has the ball in his hands kicking for goal, that is when we find out how reliable and good he is.

Period of time has nothing to do with it. He is the best kick for goal I've seen since Nick Davis.
