John Barker - what a find

Geeze Johnny Barker has been playing really well for Hawthorn this year. I thought that he was finished when he left the Brisbane Lions but he has proven me wrong. Good on him. It would have taken a lot of character to do what he has done. He was a matchwinner kicking 4 goals including a couple of crucial ones.

I was watching the match last night and the same thing came to my mind! He definately has talent but more potential! He will only get better.

He showed a bit at Fitzroy (he was a Norwich Rising Star nomination). I was a little surprised that Brisbane traded him, especially when he hadn't had much of an oportunity at senior level. Hope he does well against North. Also good luck to Pike, Chandler, Clayton, Blakey, Woods and Barker in next weeks Hawthorn/North final.
