Just read through the entire 14 pages of this, sheesh! I think what this thread proves is the following:

Cena 'haters' undersell him far too much, what he does for the company is huge.

Cena 'lovers' play the man and not the ball, attacking those who dont like Cena regardless of their evidence to their opinion, rather than disproving the claims of the 'haters'. They also overstate his in-ring ability as its a detriment to their argument hes the best all rounder EVA.

This leads to an eternal circle of Shitfighting.

I don't like Cena, thats no secret, but, its idiotic to claim hes not a big draw. Hell, people will pay to see him lose, and his fans will pay to see him run out with a big goofy grin on his face and talk shit noone cares about or can even hear to the guy operating the camera on the ramp.

Cena has always been above average to great on the mic, its what got his foot in the door as Rapper-Cena.

His wrestling ability however is nothing special, in that regard he can be compared to Hogan, huge personality and speaking ability but poor overall in ring skill.

Even though he's a 'poor' wrestler, he can put on a good match, the thing that frustrates 'haters' so much is he doesnt TRY half the time, instead content to run the same formula again and again, get beaten down for 90% of the match, miracle come back, hit 5 moves of doom, pin for the win. Watch some of his BIG ppv matches, some of them are great to watch, these ones are the ones where its alot of back and forth and you just cant pick whose going to win, as compared to his regular matches where you just KNOW hes gonna come back.

For me personally, in ring ability is a huge component when judging 'the best ever', for me they have to have charisma, in ring ability and mic skills etc. Alot of people are willing to look over certain deficiencies, but I believe you can never be judged as the 'total package' if youre deficient in one area or another.

All this dick measuring NCAA vs WWE Titles vs Pec size is just ridiculous, the two cannot be compared by any measure, one is a legitimate sporting achievement, the other is a fake award which is earned through legitimate means (hard work, charisma etc). You can say all you like that Cena has a million titles but in the end that means absolutely zip when it comes down to it, as wrestling is a scripted business.

Take for instance Rowdy Roddy Piper, one of the most influential and recognisable wrestlers EVER, how many world titles did he hold (major company i.e WWF/WCW whatnot) in his career? Ill give you a hint, its a number that looks like a circle. Same with guys like Snuka, Mr Perfect, Owen Hart, Ted Dibase Sr, etc.

Does it make someone more or less of a wrestler if someone has 0 or 20 World Heavyweight championships? In my opinion, no it doesn't.

As long as a guy can keep your interest, put on a good match and is charismatic, title counts are irrelevant to how good you think they are.

Similarly NCAA championships mean sweet **** all as soon as you step inside a wrestling ring, completely irrelevant. It's like saying Brodus Clay being the only living funkasaurus makes him a good wrestler, it really doesnt. Or that Angle being a gold medalist makes him an awesome pro wrestler, yes, the sport he won it in HELPED him transition to pro wrestling, but in no way did it help aspects such as mic work, learning pro wrestling moves and the acting side of it, that all came with hard work and gut busting.

some years ago i came to the conclusion that the only people who thought cena was a bad wrestler were those being wilfully ignorant so as to continue their amusingly over the top hate and those who think wrestling is all about how many moves you can do.

I heard a legit interview with Edge once, several years back, his comment about Cena was that he can't wrestle worth a damn, but by hell he is entertaining.

You watch old time blokes like Les Thornton, or more recently Dean Malenko. They were fantastic wrestlers, and if they wanted to shoot they'd damn near kill you.

But they didn't have the personality.

Loved watching him Wrestle. Never screwed up. He had no charisma. However he did what was needed for the crusierweight divison in WCW at the time. Imo the best wrestler from wcw's crusierweight divison was Jericho. Loved everything about Jericho in wcw. He was small however he made up for it and was always great tv.
