John “Earthquake” Tenta has passed away at the age of 42 after a lengthy battle with bladder cancer. Tenta is survived by his wife and three kids.

Tenta performed for both World Wrestling Entertainment and World Championship Wrestling throughout the 90s. He made multiple appearances on wrestling’s grandest stage, participating in matches at WrestleManias VI, VII, VIII, X and X-Seven.

In 1992, Earthquake and his partner Typhoon, collectively known as "The Natural Disasters”, defeated Money Inc. to capture the World Tag Team Championship. Prior to his career in professional wrestling, Tenta made a name for himself in Japan as a highly accomplished Sumo wrestler.

What's going on with all these wrestlers passing away lately?.
It has happened for ages, it's not just a recent thing.

Tenta was nothing to do with actual wrestling as it was cancer, most are heart failures etc due to steroid use. But it definately isn't just a recent thing.

Some would suggest that it could be steroid related

lengthy battle with bladder cancer
With the amount of diuretics etc to pass tests an assumption could be made about bladder cancer

I hope that the wwe will do some sort of show/dvd to raise money for his family. Rest in peace big guy & condolences to his family especially his kids, it's not right for kids so young to see the father pass away. :(

Maybe, but the WWE i don't think had a particulary harsh drugs policy back in the day.
