Longmire extends contract
The Sydney Swans are pleased to announce John Longmire has extended his contract for a further three years, which will see him remain Sydney’s senior coach until at least the end of 2023.

Didn't Primus do the same as Port's caretaker coach winning 5 of 7 but then going on to only winning 8 of the next 40 games before getting the Sarse?
Though I'm absolutely positive Shaw will continue positively because he is using Horse's game plan.

Horse hate? I don't recall ever seeing anyone say they hated Longmire, I have read (and I've written) about wanting a change...no hate whatsoever!

To be fair he has done pretty well in the past two months with a youngish team.
As he showed on 360 he is not the sharpest tool in the shed. And again he has one flag and two performances in GFs where he was done like a dinner.
The Norf nuff nuffs have dodged a bullet and been leveraged to inflate our Clubs offer. They have a bloke ready to roll who will be on half the bickies apparently offered Longmire.

Also my favourite part about Horse staying in Sydney is his 2 sons remain a part of our academy. Hoping they turn into superstars, because I loved the North melts over a Sydney boy being drafted by Sydney

The Big Footy board is not a survey of the Swans supporter base in general and you certainly don't have any reliable information, survey or source that what your stating is fact other than opinion.
The "majority" of our fanbase could very well be happy with his coaching style and might think he could lead us to another flag. Making up claims of majority support is baseless at best and does the rest of your opinion no value when you have valid points to make.

Like most fans see Essendon fans supporting the druggies
It is very similar I think. Some Essendon supporters defended Hird no matter what, and I feel like some people on this board have the same love of Horse.
Sort of like how 30% of Americans are so in love with Trump they are able to internally justify anything he says or does.

I doubt he cares that much in all honesty. As an individual in the leadership group I would imagine he’d be happy to play where he could best contribute...
I don’t see any reason why he wouldn’t be happy playing at AFL level in defence.
