Longmire will go down the same path as Lyon, the outcome will be the same for our club!

He's been an average coach. Had a seriously impressive squad over the past few years, best side in the comp 2014 & 2016, yet the tactics fall down in big games. Or against Carlton.

Turn it up mate Horse is nonsense. Blessed with a COLA for most of that time, since that's gone we've recruited muppets left right and centre, haven't tweaked the gameplan whatsoever and his stone-faced arrogance and unwillingness to adapt is destroying us!

Midfield structures are shithouse. The amount of times this year you see the entire midfield sucked so deep inside the contest that the opposition is already set up outside and off to the races even before the umpire brings the ball back into play!

Not to mention the flaky, trotty, lacklustre feel about the whole side, and I don't blame the players, who wouldn't feel uninspired by such consistently reactive and mundane coaching.

He dropped Newman last week! Crap. Absolute crap.

The sooner we get Dew into the hotseat the better.

Absolute BS, 8 games ago that exact same side and game plan smashed Geelong to pieces at the MCG in a preliminary final.

It's an insult to everyone at the club that some of our supporters think that you can just sack the coach, trade out all of your players and replace them with a bunch of young middle range draft picks and expect to be finishing top 4 every year for 10 plus years.

What we do now as a club will have a profound impact on where this club will be in the next 10 years and going away from what has made us successful over the last 15 years will just make it far worse than it will be.

We have been semi competitive, have a look at the Hawks now that is a cliff.

The four quarters I just sat through at the G...trust me, we were not competitive. We were playing a side that could not take full advantage of our uncompetitiveness

Can't sack longmire but I think it's time Dew was moved on. There's no reason why our midfield shouldn't be accounting for most others in the competition.

I was right!
A soft underbelly is lurking in our supporter base.
Ask questions about the coaching, sure, but sack Longmire?

You guys are kidding right?

At least their showing passion for their club rather than questioning other supporters passion for the club.

There is no perfect way to be a supporter. Blind loyalty certainly isn't

Yeah, but he's not trolling any singular poster...you are! You're a mod, you surely should know better!

Robbie is spot on, being passionate about the club is acceptable, questioning others' passion is not.

Not what you wrote me the other day. If you agree with Robbie, you owe me an apology because both our responses (in differing threads) are extremely parallel.

That has nothing to do with this thread though. PM me if you're not satisfied with my response as this thread is about Horse.

Back on topic, I don't think Longmire should be sacked, but I feel that like Roos he may be destined to be a one-time premiership coach. I like Longmire personally, and think he can still be the person to get us through this, but we need to change things tactically, we played too many guys behind the ball again today and it cost us scoring opportunities as we couldn't flood forward quickly enough to get numbers inside 50.

There is no soft underbelly.

Only people unwilling to face reality and be pathetic apologists.

Forget sackings.

Stop playing strawmen with this appeal to feelings.

The game plan is crap.

I walked into the bowling club half way through the third off the green. We were 42 or so.

40......that is damming.

Stop apologizing. We just lost to Carlton season on the line.

Unacceptable.

Non-negotiable.

Pathetic.

7 losses on the trot. Close to a third of a season.

Change or get the **** out.

Again with this blind loyalty crap.

I'm not stopping anyone from how they choose to support.

I'm just amazed at how easy it is for people to turn.

All good!

I understand it can be frustrating and I can see where your coming from, but your a quality poster. Challenge people to think differently by giving them something to think about on the facts.

Yep!
Took my family to the game & niece actually. Sat it out right to the end. I saw some sore & sorry players
It was a sad day. Game plans fall apart very easily when the wrong mix of players take to the field.
We had a large percentage of players that wouldn' t be getting a game under normal circumstances.
I knew that before the game.
Tippett out late meant Reid would ruck. Buddy, Reid with Tippo & Sinclair resting forward was where I thought before the game we would stretch them. Didn't think we would win the midfield battle as Gibbs, Murphy, Cripps & Kreuser are a handy combination.

The game just turned out how I was hoping it woukdn't but deep down, how I knew it would. considwring the games being given to a few guys.
We are doing the merry go round with non desrving players. Seen it before with other teams when short on players for certain positions in the team.
Coaches hands are tied at this point but I will join in with the "sack Longmire" chanting in good time just to look like I can actually do something about
the game plan & coach from my end!

Although Beatson is crap, our list still has 8 All Australians on it (plus the reigning Rising Star and more).

I'm sure Longmire is good enough to win at least 5-6 games with that.

That's our new benchmark?
