A direct swap wit Jamar who is a SA boy???

Which pick do we have in the 30's?? is it 37 i believe that wud b a good deal.

either a straight swap for Jamar or pick 37

Good call I thought the same thing but will they see the value in Jamar as Meesen is a first round draft pick?

Oh yeah what were we thinking, Meesen has proved so much during his stay at the Crows, we should at lest give them Davey, Bell, Rivers and on-trade Judd to them
That deal won't work, you can't on-trade players, so unfortunately Adelaide would have to reject your offer. :D

I really have no idea what he is worth given we haven't been able to see enough of him at AFL level. As a Crows supporter i would be interested in the likes of Rivers, Bell, Bode, possibly Jamar. I know we wont get Rivers or Bell. I would say Jamar is probably what will happen.

Doesnt really matter, but i think most people would say Jamar is out. IMO i think we should keep PJ and Jamar for depth, as Meesen could turn out to be a hack
I'd scrap Jamar and draft a ruckman (if we have any picks left in this draft), that way we would have a 30yo, a 24yo, a 21yo and a 18yo. If Jamar was improved a little, say to Mark Blake level he would be worth keeping for depth, but at the moment I can't see his value.

Well if that article is correct, then all this talk about doing a trade is irrelevent. Very handy to pick up a promising young ruckman for free. Losing Hudson and Meeson without compensation will sting the Crows though.

I think we should have four ruckmen on our list, so Jamar and Johnson won't be going anywhere.

I wouldn't even give up a 3rd round pick for him. If he is behind Hudson, Maric and Griffin in their ruck stocks, he is obviously pretty average. Jamar >>> Griffin. Having said that, would like to get him and see if we can continue our tradition of grooming quality ruckmen from nowhere

The tradition that made Jim Stynes a gun, then worked well for Simmonds and Jolly only for us to let them go but hasn't done much for PJ and Jamar! I think Griffin has a lot more upside the Jamar, as he is still skinny, where as Jamar is fully developed physically but can't make any impact on a game and his skills are poor.
I won't be counting on Meesen as our saviour but its not everyday you can steal a reasonably good sized ruckman who was a top 10 pick.

My god. Jamar>>>> Griffen? You have no clue. Griff has done more in a dozen or so AFL games than what Jamar has done in his whole career. Griffen is a great prospect, moves excellently for such a big guy and has a pretty good spring on him. Once he bulks up he will be a 200 gamer no doubt. Maric has also been impressive. We picked up 3 ruckman in the 04 draft and every one of them should be very solid AFL players at least. Wouldn't give up a 3rd rounder hey? Good luck trying to find a ruckman. We put 3 years development in Meese, he was pick 8 in the 04 draft. He has a tonne of talent but he was homesick. He has been injured at the wrong times. At the start of the year he was pencilled in for the 2nd ruck spot but injured his knee. THis set him back big time and with the emergence of Maric and Griff he had no chance of breaking in the team. After recovering from injury he showed why he was picked up at 8- he had 21 touches, a dozen or so hitouts and 4 goals. He is extremely mobile and a good footy brain. What ever club gets him he will be a steal. It is bloody hard to find a good ruckman. If Meese actually wanted to be in Adelaide he would no doubt have been our 2nd ruck. He is a great prospect. To say he is crap because he is behind Maric, Griff and Huddo is bull****. It was line ball between Griff, Meese and Maric. It was only because he was injured he didn't get more games this season. The ruckman he was behind would all get games for Melbourne as a 2nd ruckman. Meese will be a walk up 2nd ruck behind White next season if he does go to Melbourne. Saying that he is not worth a 3rd rounder is insulting. Good luck finding a quality ruckman.

Blah Blah Blah, 2 words - preseason draft

Melbourne believes that it will satisfy Adelaide next week and secure 21-year-old ruckman John Meesen from the Crows. "He wants to come to Melbourne and will either get him in the pre-season draft or for a third-round selection during trade week, it's up to Adelaide," Cameron said.
