Did Larkey's game cost Weiters AA and B&F?

And I blame that Larkey game on our midfield.

Weiters was a lamb to the slaughter. Larkey isn't even that great relative to the other strong forwards in the comp.

5 players in the history of the club have won the B&F by the age of 21. Two of them are currently on the list. Time to start achieving something with this squad!

Well done to Walshy and all the others who won awards.
Favourites were SOS winning the Spirit of Carlton award and Stocker winning Best Young Player.
Also love that our two bookend KPPs rounded out the top 3 in the B&F.

Yeah the midfield got flogged, but he got torn a new one. It was in the midst of a couple of down weeks for weitering.

Weiters was minding 3 tall forwards that day. We had no-one else. Kemp playing his first game was our next tall.

Forget negativity.

Positives-a-plenty.

Our top 3 are great. Top level stuff.

I loved each speech from Pres down.

There is a really unity and belief in this group that I haven't seen for a long time.

I think even without the additions, we would have been one of the better teams next year. With the additions, there are no limits set.

Surprising Stocker is so low.

Some interesting (?) tidbits from the count:

- our best performance of the year, based on the total number of votes awarded, was the round 20 win over the Saints (closely followed by the round 3 win against Freo)

- the worst was, perhaps not surprisingly, the round 22 thrashing at the hands of Port; the week earlier against the Suns came in a close second

- no player was awarded with a 'perfect' match score (a total of 16 votes from the four coaches) - Walsh came closest, with 15 awarded for his round 18 effort against the Pies.

- Walsh polled votes in all but one of the 22 games, the only to do so (missed out only for his 6 kick, 20 disposal game against the Giants in round 14); Weitering and Saad hit the scoreboard in all but two matches each.

- a special mention for Sam Docherty, who polled in every match he played this year
