Wished he won a premiership medal with us. He was dropped from our 2023 flag side to make way for Ginni.

He was underperforming against Markov who was in ripping form, and also WHE who could also play that role too.

The notion he was dropped for Ginnivan is a ridiculous fairy tale in fans minds. Ginnivan played forward. Noble played back.

Yes it was sad he missed out on a flag but we needed to take the best players into the finals. May not have even made it to the grand final with those close wins if any chess piece was changed. One classic Noble turnover may have seen us lose to Melbourne or GWS.

Sure, but he also added a lot of value in his run and carry and metres gained, as well as winning his own ground ball in defence.

He was a very good player, and it proving to still be that in GC. I am still gutted he didn't get included in the GF side.

With the benefit of hindsight maybe he could have been sub, with Lippa coming into the team and Ginni going out, but it is what it is.

Ignoring the butterfly effect, the only difference when Murphy went off is a defender would have replaced a defender!

There are always heartache stories on the selection table for a GF, and he was on the wrong end of one. This was no one's fault, and his replacement did well, just the way it goes.
Sure, there will be scars for the lad, but he is doing very well at GC and is obviously enjoying his football, so good luck to him.

He wouldn't be behind Houston because Houston is only at Collingwood in part due to the Noble trade, but I agree with the sentiment. He was certainly the king of turnovers

I liked this one because it shows the depth we have in that part of the ground, but in a world where Noble didn’t need to go for Houston to come in I think he’d be in the best 23 if he were in the type of form he’s showing on the GC. I think we’d shuffle Perryman or Jaicos around to squeeze him in.
