I hope in his contract a clause has been written stating that he must keep his hair "long" (we shall call it the dreadlock clause). Both he and Cookie seem to go off the boil when Delialah gets to them.

Hats off to the bigwigs on their contract management. Last year they showed incredible foresight when they signed Mundy until 2008 before he'd even played a game! (I think?) I think this current group of players are going to want to stick around together for quite a while, and will bring stability and success to FFC.

And while we're taking the hats off perhaps we could toast Phil smart who has been hammered more than any other recruiting officer in the history of the AFL especially on Big Footy, and even by our own fans.

And yet has helped us to an abolute gold mine of talent in very low draft picks/PSD/Rookie listings over the last six years wih the likes of Johnson, Dodd, Grover, Hadrill, Thornton, Medhurst, Hayden, Crowley and Webster. (The jury is out on Haines, Browne, Dunn, Copping, Stribling.)

I recommend going through the draft lists of other clubs over the last five years and see how we stack up. Its a bit of an eye opener -- we have done really well.
