I think those Career stats were prior to 2007 Stkildonan, if the description on the Dees webpage is anything to go by. I must admit I had to look him up to see who he is. Got best Melbourne first year player in 2005, was drafted at 36. Good to see we're drafting speed, even if I have no idea who he is. Was excited for a second, thinking we were getting Paul Johnson not Chris, but alas.

He was a father/son selection so ignore the position he was drafted.

He ain't quick, so not what we want. We look like picking up Dempster for half back which may bring Gram into the midfield. We don't want another loper like Johnson. Genuine speed is the key, so Hayes, Harvs, and Bally can shovel the ball out to someone who can break the lines.

We've seen the impact that Gram and Gilbert have had with dash, and with Monty, Dal, and another dasher (not sure if Schnieder is fit enough) we can challenge with a fit list.

You'd be getting a decent player. Don't be too concerned. He didn't play much because he wasn't one of Danniher's favourites. His kicking is supurb and has a decent mark. If he actually gets a bit more of the pill and is played in the middle or wing (not back pocket) he could be a decent player. I'd be looking for 14 + CJ for 9 but I'm not sure if Saints fans would do that. CC may just want another draft pick instead of upgrading an existing one so perhaps a 2nd or 3rd rounder. It depends on how highly the Saints rate him. I do find it interesting that an article written about him recently has been taken off the Melbourne site, perhaps in preparation for a trade.
