They actually do. I know this for a fact.

Some certainly do have a persecution complex, but i struggle to comprehend that they truly believe what they say.

The mere theory that the entire umpiring department go out there with the express intention of reaming one particular club is fanciful, and one would have massive psychological issues and delusions of grandeur if one actually believe it to be true.

Some actually do. I know this for a fact. It's almost as bad as Collingwood supporters and their conspiracy theories, and West Coast Eagles supporters and their anti Victorian agenda.

Edited to help you avoid looking foolish.;)

BTW, show me a club where some of it's supporters don't feel this way.

On topic

Ottens is an excellent ruck/forward, if not for injuries during his career he would be elite.

Croad is a much underrated backman, AA CHB, rarely beaten in the last couple of years. (rarely, not never)

Johnstone is a fantasticly skilled but lazy Mid.

Out of the 3, Croad would be Hawthorns preferrence, the reason is obvious, no doubt the same for the Cats with Ottens.

Every club has supporters who, in anger, suggest that the umpires are against them and many a throwaway line about such has been spoken, but i've never seen such a deep-seated persecution complex that exists within some aspects of the Hawthorn supporter base.

I just can't fathom how anyone, regardless of their club, could truly believe that the umpiring fraternity, match review panel and All-Australian selectors actively conspire to bring their club down.

One might believe their club is hard done by in certain areas, but one must have some genuine psychological issues if they truly believe that there is some elaborate conspiracy to bring down their club.

Absolutely spot on. :thumbsu:

Such little knowledge.

Nick is THE single most talented footballer at Collingwood and would have been All Australian last year if he didn't wear black and white. Losing him will be a crushing blow to the club. He's played through OP this year, where most would have sat out the year, which shows he does have guts, despite his laconic nature. Don't judge him solely on some poor matches this year. It'd be similar to judging Carey on 2001, he was badly injured, but still showed flashes of his vast talents. He's one of my favourite players and it will really hurt to see him leave. He will have fair trade value. If he wanted to stay and someone offered Johnstone, no way. Same with Saddington, but we'll have to settle...

Gold. Collingwood supporters on bigfooty are nothing if not consistent. Seriously, you could replace the name Nick with Alan and this post would fit easily on any of the "Didak's trade value" threads floating around...

Comparing Nick Davis to Wayne Carey - gold....

Good bump.
